The local Benz dealer put out cars like this. They use an Ardex sealant that makes the dark cars look amazing but it comes off after a few washed and looks similar to what is in the picture of that article.

Hey Mike, this was actually one of the first articles I read on here. What colors do you find this works best with? Does Menzerna make a one step compound polish you find work well with the flex 3401 and LC pads?
 
I'll let Mike chime in, Boejoula, but that same article converted me to the hybrids and Menzerna and it's almost all i use. I try to keep it simple with Orange, White and Black hybrids. The occassional purple foamed wool for heavier cutting but mainly those 3 hybrid pads do the majorityy of my correction...cut, buff out and polish/jewel.

Which product do you use with which pad? And will this same combo work on silver as good as it will on black and vise-versa?

I've read over and over the Menzerna and the flex are great together but I've never used the Menzerna product line. The pads I've used are not the thin hybrid, and they are generic from PAL. But I do use orange and white, sometimes a purple wool (it's a new addition to the shop). I find myself wanting to use the purple wool more now that I've seen what it can do but I see picture on here of people achieve similar results with just an orange pad.
 
I treat all colors the same. Sure, you can't see defects left on white, silvers etc. but i work harder with disciminating light to make sure i level every paint color. Typically its FG400 with orange and sometimes white for cutting down then i usually resort to white or black with 4000 or 4500 to refine the finish. I do need a middle polish and will get some more Menz Power Finish 2500. That one is almost a one stepper on some jobs and runs through orange and white pads for me. I used to love SIP but found PF2500 and like it better.

I religiously practice the AG First Commandment and do some test spots to determine the best approach for that paint on that car but it comes down to those products and pads for most.

Also the same goes with the test spot. You need to know how the paint reacts along with what is the desired result when you start your process. This will help you achieve your end goals.

PF2500 works great as a one step polish on the white Hybrid. You can also dial up or dial down the level of cut/finish by stepping up or down a polish selection. Ie, if working on hard paint go down to SI1500, or softer paint move up to SF4000. Again on the white Hybrid.

Have you ever used M105? Can be a real PITA in some situations.

I would have went with SF4000 instead of 3500. ;)
 
Have you tried any of the HD stuff ? it's pretty user friendly and priced well

I use M105 and M205 on my 3401 with LC CCS pads and get very good results all the time.

Have never tried it but keep seeing the name pop up on here and feel that I will be giving it a shot for when I need cheaper chemicals for customers that don't want to pay for the more expensive stuff.

I use M105 all the time with orange pads. They're from a local store but they do a pretty decent job. Some of the cars come out better than I think they will.

Ha thanks! Getting ready to start my business in spring so I figured I would start to acquire stuff now and do some side work to pay for what I need. Still gotta get the lower end chemicals for those every day jobs. Only plan to use the more expensive stuff when people want to pay for it.
