I recently had the opportunity to detail this beautiful Porsche.

The owner wanted it detailed inside and out, including engine bay to get it ready for another car show.

I was under time restraints on this project so I didn't take as many pictures as I liked.

The car won 2nd place in the car show but the day after, the owner and I were going over the score card and we realized that they had made a mistake in adding up the total score. They had actually only deducted 2.5 points for the entire car. He is checking into it, but he may have won 1st place.

Nice car and great job. Two things: those dirty seats are why I HATE light interiors and who puts a sticker on the bumper of a car like that? UGH.

I asked the owner if he wanted me to remove the bumper sticker and he said he wanted to keep it on. He wants to keep it as a memorial.

The sticker was from a trip he made to the Grand Canyon with this Porsche from South FL. I actually coated over the sticker with the WG coating.

He doesn't just keep it in the garage and bring it out for car shows, this is one of his daily drivers.

Looks like you might need a little bit stronger of a cleaner on the leather seats.

Otherwise the car looks really good. Hydro2 seems like it does really well on the wheels.

nice work

Thanks

Didn't want to use anything too strong on the leather seats but the PBL Cleaner cleaned them up pretty good.

Hydro2 is a great product to use on wheels...quick and easy.

Great job Frank. Nice to hear that the owner drives it regularly.

Looks fantastic! Do agree you needed a stronger leather cleaner, though.

Did you have to polish and coat outdoors? I used to do that, never again. Having to fight dust in the air is a real PITA, even if it feels like no wind.

Outstanding work Frank:)

Thanks!

I didn't want to use something too strong and take the risk of damaging the leather since it's about a $200K car. It's hard to tell from the pictures but it did clean up pretty good. What would you suggest?

It was at a condo right off the beach and it was pretty windy. I started polishing outside and it was a loosing battle dealing with the dust and debris.

The guys at the condo were kind enough to let me work inside the parking garage even though it's not normally allowed.

Thanks!

Maybe a APC with a 10-1 dilution ratio and a detail brush, give it a light scrub to get it foaming, and wipe clean

Great job on sweet Porsche :dblthumb2:

Beautiful!

Frank took my 3-day ACR class in September and has also attended the majority of Autogeek's Thursday night garage projects plus a number of other Autogeek projects.

Anyone reading this into the future considering hiring Frank to work on their car I completely vouch for his skills and recommend him.

He's certified Copetition Ready!

My next class is coming up in January, click the ACR picture at the top of any forum page to get signed up!

:)

Frank, i definitely vouch for Power Clean on fine, coated leather. just to a test spot at a 10:1 ratio and a little agitation to see if it is strong enough. 3:1 is about as strong as i'd go for a really aggro stain situation.
