I have been using the Lake County Flat foam pads for years with my Flex 3401. I like the flats, but just want to mix it up.

It's time to replace a lot of pads so what pads should I look at trying next? I am looking for polishing & cutting pads.

Welcoming ideas.

for a 3401 id almost exclusively use the LC hybrid pads with the LC BP system. awesome combo. and rarely i use buff n shine 5.5 pads

I started using the newer Megs thin foam pads and they are very nice. Durable, clean up nice and work well on the Flex. LC Hybrids are nice also

Vobro - can you post a link to the Meg's pads you like?
Ucdie - I was considering the LC Hybrids.

Without a doubt the Hybrid pad lineup. The flat face design works exceptionally well with Menzerna's DAT based products.

I have been using the larger 6.5" pads for most of my work and follow up in the smaller areas with the GG3 equipped with the Hydrotech pads.

I know that these are meant for the Rupes machines, but I absolutely love these HD orbital pads on my Flex:

Lake Country HD Orbital Pads, rupes foam pads

I also love the Meguiar`s thin discs and their MF cutting and finishing pads.

Many people don`t recommend using the Megs MF pads on the Flex; but I personally have had no issue with using them on my 3401.

Which DA do you use?

Are the LC ThinPro just a remake of the Hybrid? If so, do people like the new ThinPro over the existing Hybrid?

Lake Country has a new line of Hybrid pads coming out, that includes a center hole, and adds the grey cutting pad. They also found that a lot of users enjoy the thicker pads on the 3401.

I liked Hydrotech pads when I had the 3401.

I know your a fan of the hydrotechs, i never liked them. And i dont know why.

What polishes did you use with them?

Almost Menzerna every time. FG400 on the Cyan, and PF2500, or SF4000 on the Tangering.

I'm gonna try Rupes Zephir and Keramik on them one of these days.

David from LC gave me some to try out, yet I`m sworn to secrecy.
