Aww, My shmitt disentigrated

The new glue has a very dark amber color and is pressed very hard. The best way to know is if you get one that has the string on it. Those are the most recent.

Thanks Edge!

The one's I got still must have been from the old stock. The glue does not look dark amber in color. As you can see from the picture below the glue seperated from the foam. It's not ripped at all. I have never put it in the dryer. I use Poorboy's SS&S and just rinse out the ShMitt in clean water when I'm finished and let it dry naturally.

Old glue no question. Meghan will replace for you. Have you contacted her?

Any with replacement issues email me at [email protected]
Give me your name, order number from when you purchased it, and which mitt you had the trouble with.
Thanks

I got mine in January, does that matter? Was just going to order another one but haven't got my next purchase together yet, too many items to choose from lol.

I think what is causing the tearing on the the old ones, when dunking in buck to swish around and pull out, I think the water when pulling out is causing the tearing as thats when I noticed it happen to me.

Thanks for responding Edge. Before your response I felt that the problem was never really fixed because I had got my ShMitts after you said the problem has been fixed. When a product don't live up to my expectations the only action that I usually take is to quit buying the product. I like the ShMitt and will try it again now that you conviced me that the problem was addressed and fixed.

Ps, I have not contacted Meghan to replace it. I never keep my invoices so I don't know what any of the order no's were. It's nice to know that it would be replaced if I had it. AG's customer service is the best.

I would call, I am sure they keep records of your purchases.

This was addressed in December 2 months after the launch and was totally corrected. The only ones that have problems are the ones with the initial glue that was made for 2 months. The life of the product is about 100 washes give or take, and at the price of $12.99 its a pretty good deal at about $.12cents per wash. We also opened the hand opening and added the wrist string for easy hanging up, or just using without putting your hand inside. If you have any problems it is probably still older stock and if you just contact Meghan she will take care of you right away. We always listen to our customers and improve every time we can, even when there is not problems.
I still have an older Shmitt and don't have any problems with it. I have one that I gave to my brother, that has a little over 100 washes on it and it still performs well. It separated a little (my little brother has a bigger hand:D), so he never even puts his hand in it, he just holds it, and now I wash my car the same way. never dropped a Shmitt, but even if I will, I can easily rinse it off, and see that grit/dirt be rinsed off, not hidden in between loops...
Love my Shmitt, even after trying new Ulti-Mitt, which is a little scary to use on a dirty car...

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the emails, I felt the love when I opened my email account this morning.:p
