Rinseless Wash Media?

It must be good, there isn't one mark on that Vette that I have noticed. I am going to have to get one since 99% of my washes are rinseless.

Thank you

I use these mitts that are only about $3 each--

After removing the thread that creates a thumb pocket a grout sponge fits perfectly into the mitt. So you can use as many mitts as you need for a rinseless wash then just throw them in the wash with the microfiber towels.

The grout sponge allows you to control how much solution you use depending on how dirty the car is and allows you to hold the mitt so very little pressure is applied to the paint.

I've been using the Meguiar's MF mitts for over a year and stopped using any of the other sponges/towels I was using before. The quality I really like is the ability to easily release much of the dirt with either a healthy shake in the bucket or a wipe over the grit guard. I've also got a Griot's mitt I haven't tried yet and I'll likely order one of the new AG rinseless mitts for comparison, but so far I'm very satisfied with the Meguiar's.

I've only used my Megs D114 rinse less once. I used Megs white MF wash mitt. It work perfectly, the white was perfect as I could see the clean nicrofibers after rinsing in my rinse bucket.

I see many rinse less washes with D114 and Megs MF mitt in my future.

I do have a CarPro Wool Mitt, but I just assumed it wouldn't be ideal since it is one sided, may give it a try.

So many good options. Lots of good things about the Megs Mitt and the AG Mitt. I will probably buy a Megs one local, and have the AG Mitt on order.

And I will take my time and accumulate some nice microfibers to try the GD method along the way.

As always, thanks for all of the help everyone!

I believe I traded pheerix for the same one that ronkh57 uses.

Is that the one I have pheerix?

I've been using it with D114 and like it very much.

I also agree with him, most prefer a plusher towel for washing. I believe those towels are around 300 gsm, and should be good for wax and polish removal where you don't want fight with the extra plush nap.

I don't do the towel method but I would think a towel with at least 500 gsm or higher would be recommend.

Yea I gave you the Rinseless mitt on AG's site.

The AutoGeek Rinseless wash mitt is the best. I've tried sheepskin, different sponges and good quality microfiber towels but that is my favorite by far. Soft, holds a lot of solution and washes out easy every time even when really dirty.

+1. It releases dirt better than any other wash media I've ever used. Just a quick turn across the grit guard and the fibers come totally clean. I'm thinking about using these exclusively on my 2 BM washes now for that very reason.

Thank pheerix.:dblthumb2:

Still need to try the Uber Rinseless.

How does the AG wash mitt compare to the Meg's one?? Curious to see if anyone owns both.

Gonna get the Autogeek mitt and the Uber Rinseless at some point! Very intrigued by both of them.

I use 300GSM microfiber towels with one bucket on clean cars and the Big Red Sponge and the Autogeek Wash Mitt on dirtier cars using two buckets.

I'm surprised people use sponges. I'm sure they're ok I just can't get it out of my head that they'd be safer than a soaking wet thick MF

Meg's is really nice. Its traps and releases dirt quite well. One thing I will say, it retains its brightness until you go ONR. When doing so, kiss that shade good bye and say hello to blueish off-white.

The AG's is much thicker and cushier by comparison. Like the Meg's, it traps and releases dirt quite well. Its thicker coat holds more solution and thus glides over the surface smoother. Can't comment on ONR usage because I did not want to stain another wash media, so this one gets Uber and D114 only.

Meg's gets a solid A.

AG's gets a solid A+.

ps
There's a foam pad version of AG's mitt (I'm guessing came out from the same factory) on Amazon. I have it, and plan on using it as soon as this storm blows over.
