I started learning to ride on the roads with a Kawasaki 90 cc motorcycle...then almost killed myself on a Kawasaki Mach 500...so my Mom and Dad decided I should be in a car. I wanted a Chevelle SS or a Goat like yours. I would of even gladly taken a Mustang Mach 1. NOPE!! My Dad took me down to a little old lady down in the rich side of town and bought me a 1966 Lemans 2dr cpe. with a 326CI. White with black bucket seats, center console and rally wheels. It was as close to a GOAT as it could be...without all the extra muscle and cool hood scoop!. When we drove home with my new used car...my Dad insisted that I drove his 1970 Dodge Monaco in yellow with wood grain to the house and that HE would drive MY car. I followed him...and EVERY turn he made..he would burn rubber. I was freaking out! I waxed and/or washed that car EVERY single day. Those cars bring back really fond memories of the time that my Dad and I got to spend together. He was a car nut! When ANYTHING would go wrong with the car...bad muffler...bad tires....bad valve...ANYTHING..he would convince my Mom that we needed a new car. I just wished he had lived long enough to see me in the car business. he died the year before I entered in...33 years ago. He would have been my best customer!!
