Friend of mine tried wet sanding his 911 Turbo

Yeah didn't go so well. He said he used 300 grit sand paper.....yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

This is what it looked like when it arrived.

It'll buff right out.....they said.

I imagine that you had to back those 300 sanding marks out with an insane amount of different grits.

Did you crawl to 600 then 1000? And so fourth

Nope....Menz FQ400 and 2500 with my flex. hit it a few times with each. It's not as perfect as the pics show but still in better shape now than the rest of the car. all in all everyone's happy :buffing:
 
I knew when I saw the title that hadn't ended well...what was the reason he decided to sand it? And it's a good thing it was just a beater car, eh?

he said there some white specs on the paint he couldn't get out.

After the fact i told him we could have probably removed them with clay or something very minor in terms of abrasiveness.

Live and learn.
 
He should have used a belt sander! Would have got rid of those pesky white marks!
