Had a referral from another Corvette owner. This gentleman was super nice and even let me take his c7 for a little rip with him in the passenger seat before detailing it. I must say the c7s are very impressive. This had the 7 speed manual. I loved the automatic rev matching. Super cool!

Anyway. He contacted me about removing the imperfections in the paint and sealing it up. Being black it was actually pretty nice but not up to our standards! This was a pretty straight forward job that didn`t require much prep work.

It received a wipe down with Uber Rinseless wash at detail spray dilution. Wheels were also dusted off with Uber. Tires I used a little diluted D101. No nanoskin was needed as the paint was butter smooth.

My first test was with PA Invincible Primer on a LC orange pro thin pad on the g21. It did well but not perfect. So I stepped up to a BOSS microfiber cutting pad with fast correcting cream. Much better defect removal but left the paint hazy. So I stepped down to just correcting cream on the microfiber pads and bingo. Great defect removal and good gloss. Went around the whole car with this combo. In tight areas I used a 2in blue hydrotech pad on my PC. Luckily he has a drive on lift so I was able to polish under the rear valance with ease.

Paint was sealed with PA Cosmic Spritz. Glass cleaned with Invisible glass. Tires dressed with McKee`s gloss tire gel.

After compounding.

All finished.

Another excellent job Justin!

The BOSS MF pads with the Correcting Cream was enough, no polishing step afterwards?

Yup. With the fast correcting cream it left a little haze. The correcting cream removed the defects and still left a nice gloss. The owner had a budget and a second step really wasn't in it.

Lookin good. How long did it take you? I did an exact clone but it was a 15. I bet using the lift helped a lot.

Yeah only had it in the air for the rockers and rear valence. I would say about 6-7hrs. Not having to do a traditional wash, decon process and drying saved me a bunch of time. Pretty straight forward job. Cosmic Spritz goes on very easy.

Damn that's fast. I had to 2 step polish and had about 19 hours in it. I coated with UK then topped with Overcoat. PA makes great top shelf products.

Yeah this car wasn't terrible at all. The correcting cream made easy work of the defects.

Looks great! Is cosmic spritz a spray sealant?
