I've met a lot of people that like 3M. I may have to give it a try one day. Do you use with DA or Rotary?

Why anyone would choose 3800 over Essence is beyond me. Essence outshines and outcuts it. If one doesn't need the cut just use a Gloss pad or any finishing pad. Infact I challenge any finishing polish against Essence as far as gloss goes.
Essence is tough to beat as a 2nd step.

Everytime I use it on a black car I still say "wow" Everytime.

I did a Black RS3 and a White GTi and both colours gave gloss levels I have never achieved with the arsenal of finishing polishes I used previously.

well a lot of people choose it over essence so there must be a reason. essence isnt even a polish its an aio. i heard the gloss pad is very overrated.

ya but you have to compare it to a finishing polish and an lsp for it to be fair. of corse it will have more gloss if its leaving a sealant behind

what about rupes diamond ultra fine polish? anyone use that

I've used Rupes Diamond on dark & light paint, super slick like a mirror finish. With a DA and Rotary.
Have also used it on glass with very good results, so good I went back over the glass I didn't use it on.
Diamond is on my top products list. Almost zero dust, polishes down clear, easy wipe off.

In regards to the Gloss Pad.. Tried it, wasn't so great.
Jumped and skipped because the sharp super soft edge wanted to fold under.
Rupes white is just as good, and doesn't have the rubber core, which makes it alittle harder to clean.

Meguairs #7.

Very easy to work with.
It's my go to polish, I've tried so many
but now I stick with good ole 7
•Riddle me this:
-How is it possible to perform the
"finishing polish"-step with a product,
such as Meguiar's M07, that contains
absolutely no abrasives?

I actually use Essence with an orange pad to correct on softer paints. If I'm coating, I'll go over the paint again with a white pad but still Essence but mixed half half with distilled water. I also find m205 with a bit of distilled water mixed in works as well. I also like to prime my pads by dunking them in onr and squeezing it out until it's slightly damp. I'm gonna wipe down with eraser no matter what I'm putting on top but I find the onr just makes the process a lot easier, far less marring on the crazy soft paints.

I use it sometimes. Usually Keramik gets me where I want to be. If it's something like a hot rod, or a garage queen, I'll use Diamond. I also use the white pad to apply sealants.

I've tried white diamond on softer paints and ended up with haze. Keramik works a lot better, IMO.

On hard and soft paints I can never get it to outshine Keramik. Keramik is just so good theres no need to play with Diamond.

I remember Dylan saying that it could be the pad. Diamond with the yellow pad is pretty nice.

That yellow pad is pretty damn awesome. Works great with UP, and M205.

That Yellow pad and CarPro Essence are a match made in heaven.
