Exterior only job..didn't get as many (quality) shots as I would have liked since was a chilly day. I was trying to get this done ...enjoy!!

Products
CG Citrus Wash
D114 (Cay Lube)
Dodo Juice Ferrous Dueler
LC MF Cutting pads
LC Force Orange pads
Megs APC/Super Degreaser
Stoners Trim Shine (engine bay and wheel wells)
Wolfgang Trim Sealant on all exterior black trim.
Griot's Fast Correcting Cream
Menzerna MC 2500
Blackfire Wet Diamond all Finish
Griot's Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner
Mothers Chrome Polish (wheels)
Klasse AIO (grill and glass)

Nice job on that big truck, it looks great!!!

What polisher did you use?

Looks like the Fast Correcting Cream did a heck of job knocking out those defects.
What did you use on the tires? [as far as tire shine/dressing]
Did you find the Mothers Chrome Polish to make a difference on the wheels? [I've never had much luck with it]
It looks like the black running boards could use some more help..

Nice turnaround.

I usually dress and coat running boards as usual but not any more.my lawyer client sued a local carwash ere in town.A lady had slipped off her running board due to some sort of slippery dressing and broke her femur bone.So now I just clean them and that's it not worth the risk.

Nice job, do you always do a detail of the engine bay included with exterior detail?
Again good job

I use TW Endura Trim Coat on running boards. Not only does it get the job done...

But it's completely safe too, as it leaves no slickness behind. It's so safe I even use it on my own pedals.

Yeah, I'm usually an FG400 kinda guy but the owner is a co-worker/friend who didn't want (nor pay for) perfection but wanted the swirls knocked down, and Fast Correcting Cream seems to finish down just a bit better than FG400 with MF Cutting pads...

I was surprised as well with Mother Chrome polish, its been on my shelf for years and I don't typically use it but I figured Id dab some on a mini ball and it worked well .....chrome was peeling from inside the barrels to back/bottom of spokes so didn't want to go to crazy

For tires I did a once pass spray with Griots Black Shine then dry wipe with mf towel

Like others have said I don't go to crazy on the steps they were pretty beat up so cleaned them with Meg APC and 3" brush on my PC, then apply a light coat of the WG Trim sealant, followed by dry buff with mf towel ....in my experience if there's too much product they become slick and they attract dust and dirt easily so as soon as you step on them it leaves footprints.

Thanks....I do, usually because it doesn't take to much time to do, my typical customer doesn't expect nor think about the engine bay so when they pick-up their cars and I pop the hood you get the "wow looks like new" ......even though I tell them I'm going to do it prior to the job...lol

Thanks I'll think about doing that. What BASIC not to involved product/s would you use, APC?

The only way not to bring the legal team after you,the product and bottle must state safe for running boards if not someone slips your payin. Its kinda like doing engines we make them clean and new then bang you get that dreaded phone voicemail 2200 to fix.

That's why you'll never see me opening anyone else hood to do anything. Lol.

Heck no,I've learned my lesson more than once even on my personal cars. The last straw was back in 2008 S 500 sensor got wet costed me 3500.00 to fix and that was with a discount because I was doing work for a merc dealer. But I really don't think I got a discount but rather the shaft.Even with all the precautions something will happen that day or a month from the day you did it.Back in the day distributor caps or ignition.Today it's all electronic and it all works together.

Those faux chrome rims look nice. How did you clean them?

I did an older GM model recently. Took a while and was annoying in certain areas

Megs Super Degreaser @ 10:1 is what I use....APC would do fine as well.....

Mothers mini-ball and Mothers Chrome Polish......the chrome plating was peeling from the barrels so I didn't want to go too crazy throwing too many chemicals at the wheels...initially I lightly sprayed GG Heavy Duty wheel cleaner then agitated, that got the light stuff. Mini ball and polish knocked down alot of tougher stuff, brought the clear shine back and left a lil bit of protection......
