I think the battery is different for the LED one vs. the older halogen one...I don't think any of us with the halogen ever replaced the battery.

I have a halogen. Followed Zach's tutorial (thanks so much, sir!), bought a battery at Batteries +, and it works like new.

To the OP, the price was pretty high at Batteries +. It was around $20, so I would look around for a better deal. Or call around - I know it's a franchise but I'm surprised how much cheaper FrankS got it than I!

I have the white and blue Dual Xenon light.

Not sure if that makes any difference, or it could be that the Duracell is cheaper than trying to match the original battery.

i also replaced mine today as well, brought my brinkmann in to make sure it would work with the new battery and it did (comes with 1 year warranty). otherwise in the trash it would of went..
