This morning I went use this machine, it worked a few seconds then stopped. If the machine is facing skyward, no motion. When I place the machine horizontally pad down, suddenly it works. I have replaced the brushes. I would like to get the GG 15 kit. Trying to convince HOUSEHOLD 6 I need a new kit will be almost impossible because I have two other DA machines. Please help with either issue.

Agree on the cord problem, I replaced 2 already on mine
 
Power cord issue. Mine went out twice. If it's under warranty you can have Meguiar's fix it. Just be ready to pony up to pay shipping costs to ship the tool to their repair facility. Contact Meguiar's customer service if it is still under warranty and you want to go that route.

The warranty has long expired. The cord is the problem as others have stated. I am going to replace the cord.

First time I sent it back to Megs, second time I just replaced it myself. Worked fine after that until I sold it
 
Just bought a new cord. After install, this evening, finish other half of clear coat cleaning with Zymol paint cleanser

Do what I did and upgrade to a better tool. I went the Rupes route and my MT300 just collects dust.

Anyway Brian Han of Meguiar's mentioned to me that they have since started using a better process and better quality components to fix the issue.

You never know. The second time I sent it back, Meguiar's still fixed it. It was out of warranty at that time.

Do you guys know where the Megs polisher is assembled?

To me, a company like Megs should be embarrassed to send out a tool with an inferior cord assembly.

And I'll bet the farm it was to save a few cents per unit.

When will these companies learn that product reliability and/or their reputation with the consumer trumps greed for profits?

Oh, listen to me.......... Forgot what era I was living in for a minute. :(

What's more peculiar is they had the same issue with the G110v2, ask me how I know
