This is the 2nd vehicle I have done for the same client. First one was the 7up Emerald Green LX convertible Mustang I did about a month ago.

He bought this 2017 Shelby GT350 recently and want to protect as much as possible seeing it was new. It came to me with some normal road grime etc only because he didn't want to wash it or do anything until after I had done my work.

Upon arrival.

Prepping.

Wheels- Mckees foaming wheel cleaner gel, LATA

Paint foamed and washed- IGL wash.

Decon- 3D BDX, Meguiars clay bar, Uber rinseless wash as lube

Engine bay was steamed to remove minor dirt etc. The windshield cowl was coated.

Next was the wheels and wells. Wheels were removed, decon'd again and coated. Wells were steamed and coated as well as the calipers.

All exterior plastic trim was coated as well.

The paint was in next to perfect shape. The main body got a one step with Menzerna sf3800, Rupes yellow pad and BOSS G21. The piano black spoiler and mirrors and rear valence got m205 follwed by Menzerna sf3800.

Paint was coated with IGL Quartz+. Exterior glass was also coated.

Interior received a UV protectant, fabric treatment and leather conditioner.

Exhaust tips were polished with McKee's fast metal polish

Very nice Justin! I'd love to drive one of these new 350's through the mountains or on a track day.

Absolutely stunning Justin. :props:

As nice as that colour looks in pictures, I bet its twice as nice in person. You have certainly done it justice with the level of shine it now sports. Nice car, great post - thank you for sharing.

Excellent work! That car is a beast!!!

Top notch work as always Justin. How would you rate IGL coatings from all the others you've used in the past?

Thanks everyone. This was definitely a great car to work on. And one that deserved the treatment received.

Good question. I would say there definitely up there in my book.

For consumer based coatings Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light/EXO V3 is definitely top of my list.

IGL Quartz and poly are a dream to apply. Under the right condition I can apply the coating to multiple panels at one time before coming back to level off. Kinda nice. My only little gripe is the 2hr cure time between layers and all there coatings require 2 layers. But in the grand scheme it's worth it. Just my .02

I've noticed a few people from this forum started using it and am curious about it, seems to be a great product. How is the durability?

Awesome Justin! Love love love that color!

beautiful...what did you coat the cowl and wheel wells with?

nice work. Those rims I am pretty sure are made out of carbon fiber and the engine I think uses arch welding, there is a video of it being done

These particular wheels I don't believe we're carbon fiber. If they were then they definitely weren't light lol.

The GT350R has the carbon fiber wheels and they cost approximately $16k for a set.
