What is a detail?

In my area detailing seems to iclude any kind of car cleaning . The couple guys I know that specialize in paint correction call that to attention on either their card or business name for instance "buffing specialist" or" ----- ---------polishing systems ".

Maybe something to think about if some guys are getting upset that "detailing" / skills are getting mixed into the"car washers/waxers" .

I think maybe some areas may be different in how detailing is defined. I dont know.

Correcting and reconditioning have always been separate add-ons at my shop. Although these aspects take a more skillful and experienced person than someone who just "cleans" well and can apply protection products, we usually call both detailers.

well that doesnt make sense cuz the guy flipping burgers is a cook not a chef and a car wash guy is a car wash guy a detailer is a detailer

Its just a good thing no one is reponding thinking their better then me at detailing. I am the best ever. No one that has come before or anyone that follows after will ever be able to sniff my dirty wool pad Im the MAN

Both of you please go back to my post, #95, and read the section of Shane's quote that I put in bold font. The statement that I made to Shane was based off of that single sentence. Grow up Grizzly.
 
conversations/posts can often provide insight and value when individuals leave out personal attacks and other past forum drama. While you cannot always change ones mind, you can certainly agree to disagree and move forward in seperate directions. Perhaps you will even come back together at a different time.

Lets bring post back to topic and being civil even if we disagree !
