14th annual Fall Dragon Run...pics and stories!

I'd love to join in one day! I could stretch the 'shop' cars legs a little! We go up to western NC quite a bit and it's not that far from us there...

It's a pretty easy area to find and navigate but then again I've been going every year since 2003. I stayed at the Dragon Pit Inn and have been doing so for the past 5 years. It's about 9 miles from where the "real" Dragon ends and about the same distance to the nearest town. I paid $310 for 4 nights and it's $10.00 more per person, so very fair there. The rooms are clean and have just what you need for the 3 S's. IMO there's no need to stay somewhere really nice with more to offer because your never there. There's also a fire pit and Dennis even has a BBQ restaraunt there (closed Tue and Wed) with a covered area to eat with flat screen tv. He smokes his meat in a wood fired smoker too.

I may need to get interest thread going around January

My buddy Hectour and I talked about this last night, he sent me the pics and apparently the fire started with leaves possibly. I know you see a lot of them on the road there in the pics but I don't know

Electrical or fuel... either way it was something with whatever the guy's done to that thing.
