That is some nice swag for those that are attending. Is the the claw brush and pad tool? If it is that is a nice tool to have with the Rupes pads and polishers.

Yes the Claw is pad cleaning brush. We'll take pictures today... lots of pictures and Yancy will be here capturing video and Facebook LIVE feeds!

These new tools have been available down here in New Zealand for around a month now, which is kinda strange that we got them before you guys but I haven't had any time with either of them yet.

Marketing and distribution are strange worlds...

I spent a part of my Sunday morning here in New Zealand following along with this class on Facebook, & the video feeds were brilliant guys. rops: All of them RUPES polishers buzzing away in the Autogeek Show Car Garage . . . as close to being there as I can get.

Looks like a great time was had by everyone, some cool cars got their shine on & lots was being learnt today. Nice one team!

I'm looking forward to the feedback on the Mille.

I liked the capabilities of my 3401, but with my back it just worked me too hard. I spent a fair amount of time with it, not a lot, but still can't help wonder if part of the issue was the counter clockwise rotation.

Every DA, pneumatic or electric and every rotary polisher I've used in the 35 years previous to the 3401 were clockwise rotation. You knew how the machine was going to react in situations.

Love that Chevelle!! I had one in high school.

Millie was powerful, smooth, & well balanced. Would help a lot of bodyshops to use this versus a rotary .... no holograms! My first time using Rupes rotary .... top of my list now .... MUCH lighter than dewalt, flex, etc

Lighter than the PE14?

That new rotary looks killer, especially how slow it can go! Honestly, though, I love my PE14 so much, I would have a hard time "upgrading."

Sorry don't remember how slow ... so new no stats in Rupes website yet .... it's a different motion than a rotary .... like a hybrid D/A I'd say. I have pic of motion .... Will post shortly

Forgive my ignorance .... checked it out. So yes like FlexXC3401 .... can't find specs on Millie yet so not sure exactly on weight / vibration comparison etc .... I loved the balance & feel on Millie .... & 2 other students made comments on Rupes Rotary saying it's smoother & lighter than Flex & they may look into trading or saleing theirs to purchase Rupes Rotary

Lighter than the PE14?

I just did a Test Spot on a 1970 Chevelle using the new RUPES Rotary Polisher and from memory, it feels lighter than a FLEX PE14. Not like pounds lighter but probably ounces lighter. It's definitely lightweight, thin and compact in design and I would use the word,

Nimble

To describe it.

That new rotary looks killer, especially how slow it can go!

RPM graph on the top of the tool states 450RPM is the slowest full RPM on the 1 speed setting with the trigger pulled all the way. Both the new rotary and the Mille have a progressive trigger so you can control the speed from completely off (zero) to slowest running RPM to the highest RPM for the speed setting you've selected.

The RUPES Mille is gear-driven orbital like the FLEX 3401 and the Makita PO5000C except that with the Mille the backing plate and pad will rotate clockwise (like a traditional rotary buffer), instead of counterclockwise.

The FLEX 3401 and Makita PO500C both rotate the backing plate and pad counterclockwise.
