What did you do today non-detailing related?

I gotta tell you I was so pissed at DFB this afternoon.

The plan was to change the blades on the zero turn, add the new mulching plug, and cut the front yard. Should have taken 2-3 hours. But when I went to change the blades, well, I need to clean under the mowing deck. And then the mowing deck and rest of the mower needs to be cleaned. Next thing I know I’m detailing my damn mower because of DFB making me look bad with the super clean mowers.

P21 Total Auto Wash in an IK Foam 2
Mothers Fender Brush and a small 1” brush
Shine Supply Wise Guy tire cleaner
Duragloss 461 Orange Degreaser for grease around engine and wheels
Duragloss 253 tire dressing
Adam’s Advanced Graphene Spray Coating on everything (paint, metal, plastic, vinyl, rubber)

Cleaning took about 2.5 hours and then I had to cut the grass for another 2 hours, which includes edging and blowing everything off. I did get to use the Ego 765 blower I received for Father’s Day so that was good. My mower is dirty again dammit even though I blew it off well.

So much grass on the deck that it blends into the lawn itself......

I went to Launceston today a 1 hour drive to see my 9 year old niece dance
It was great! The drive back was a little rainy and the usual tailgaters that

You're a good uncle, but I'm a great one, ha ha, my nephew has 2 boys.

But I get where you're coming from. Still multiple road closures up here, I have to leave 25 mins earlier to take the long way round the slowly receding floods. I'm driving more than double the distance to get to and from work. It's making people very angry on the road, very selfish, blocking intersections, no care for others just trying to get home as well.

I say i'm happy with how i am ? Some people must think it's a MUST to have kid's get married etc but i am fine just being me.

I find it fascinating how some people struggle to understand that not everyone wants to get married and have children, almost like some sort of negative judgement. I can't figure out if it's complete ignorance or jealousy.

I like to make them feel like complete shitt asking about something that is none of there business. You know...hey maybe i or we cant have kids or whatever else you wanna tell tem to make them rethink about ever asking someone that question again. Maybe i like my freedom to do as i please, go on vacations or detail my vehicles for hours on end lol. Im sure someone would call me selfish. I feel bad for kids that have to grow up in this world today, trying to grow their minds in this corrupt education system......ok sorry rant over.

Helll maybe i could borrow YOUR KIDS for the day to show them how it is to have proper authority/ discipline haha, since it is clear that many kids rule the roost

Other news i wiped down my garden tractor after mowing with 3d bead it up the other day, blades of grass just ricochet off now

My older brother never had kids because he likes to do what he wants, when he wants and blow money how he wants with nothing holding him back. Also going through a divorce from his wife of 20 years but I digress. I have 3 kids and the wife and I always have said kids are NOT for everyone. I admire him for being honest about not wanting them. I would rather someone do that then have them and mistreat them or feel “tied down” in a sense. At the end of the day it’s a personal choice as it should be! What kills me is seeing some couples that would be great parents not able to have kids and others using them as a tax write off…….

In other news, I took my oldest to the range for some plinking!

Currently on Day 6 of a 14 hour a day work week. Still got about 250 miles until home to catch up on the honey-do list, then get caught up on some detailing of 3 vehicles, a revival at church and my kids are having a sleep over tonight too.

Finally started to fix the wife’s soon to be daughters X3 glove box since BMW wants to save the world and use a “green adhesive” that doesn’t last but a few years in hot climates!

I watched a YouTube video and figured it was time to conquer the world!

Had to remove the entire glove box out to access the door pins, German engineering, actually wasn’t that bad after watching the video otherwise…who knows.

I’ve never used epoxy until this evening, of course the work was done in the kitchen and the wifey came out wondering what smelled so bad, I just looked at her and smiled!

Everything is buttoned up, now we wait to see if I get the gold star in the morning from the wife and daughter or back to the drawing board, but at least I saved $600-$800 compared to the dealership.

I have successfully fixed and reinstalled the glove box and repaired door!! Going back in was slightly more difficult than removing but overall not a bad way of saving $600-800 given that I spent $24.00 at Lowes last night on clamps and epoxy and took about an hour of work!

Now where is my damn gold star smiley face?

I put new beds in the dog houses, they have to be screwed down, or they end up in pieces all over the back yard. Nothing too fancy, these are outside dogs, and it's not like we get snow or ice. Even on cold nights they like to sleep in their other beds, they're undercover but not enclosed. Unless I let them in the garage, then it's my old sofa.
