What did you do today non-detailing related?

There's a lot in our area who go crazy with the Christmas lights, I'm sure it's a competitive sport for some. My (12yr old) daughter has really gotten into downhill skiing over the last year and joined the school ski team so I figured I'd make the stand so we can do some maintenance at home during the season.

DIY ski/snowboard stand for waxing/sharpening. Less than $15 all in. Just need bungee cords to hold them down when working on them.

My old school Rossignol Bandit-X ski on the stand and snowboard in the background that I've had for almost 20 years. My daughter's ski is also on the stand.

I took my 83 year old Mum Christmas shopping for the great grand kids. Fortunately she has little tolerance for packed shopping centres now, so after an hour she announces "I'm done, get me out of here".

Then went for my next plasma donation, they sent me a message last week, they like to build up stock prior to Christmas.

When we had Secret Santa at my previous 2 jobs, people said they could always tell when the present came from me, when you wrap and pack things for a living, it's a bit obvious, even if you try to do a bad job.

Can see you earning some extra cash at Christmas wrapping presents for shoppers at your local shopping centre.

Ha ha, I would rather do other things to earn extra cash, spending time in a shopping center sounds like pure hell to me. In fact, I can't remember the last time I went shopping in a bricks and mortar store, which is probably at odds with my day job. Covid changed my buying habits, like many I would assume, I avoid pretty much all stores now and even have my weekly grocery shop delivered.

Groceries were the big change for my girlfriend. She has always disliked grocery shopping. Now she orders them online and just does pickup.
 
I grew up with shopping, especially malls. When COVID struck it was a major shift in lifestyle. Now that it’s past, I try to go back to my normal shopping habits. As for grocery shopping, I do shop in brick and mortar stores, just *early* in the morning to beat the crowds and the other nonsense.
