Blackfire One Step vs. HD Speed

Not really. It's ok to go ahead and put down sealant.
If it were me...I'll leave it for a couple of months and then lay down sealant. That way---you can take advantage of the protection already present in Speed. No sense of working backwards...

Not sure what you mean---However, Speed will remove light marring and protect all in one step. Speed is an AIO (All-In-One). Compounds, polishes and protects all at one step.

Any other updates or reviews? Is the blackfire better than speed? Thinking about ordering blackfire while it's on sale if it's better.

It's 100% subjective but IMO Blackfire 1-step is the best AIO I own. I love it more and more every day. It's stupid easy to use and wipes off even easier HD Speed in most cases. Plus Blackfire is unreal on microfiber cutting pads. Blackfire should have advertised 1-step as a completely new and entirely different product rather than saying it's new formulation of BF Total Polish & Seal.
HD Speed is still the most economical option and a product every professional detailer should own if they want to maximize profits on AIO jobs.

I used Blackfire One Step on my sister's Toyota Highlander not sure what the color is called, it is Kind of a tanish gold. The One Step worked great. The micro scratches don't show much on the color but it sure looked great. Went on easy, cleared up the defects and wiped off like it wasn't even there. It left a beautiful finish. I love both the One Step and the HD Speed. Can't go wrong with either one. Phil

What about how long blackfire is protecting for? Anybody have feedback on that yet? Or if still going strong, how long it's been so far?

M37 360 has already proven itself to me. No less than a dozen cars and it’s performed flawlessly on every single one. I have a 16oz of hd speed to try, but it seems 360 protects for longer. I have no desire to buy the far more expensive BFAIO but I have a sample size that I may try out and see what happens.
Now, if only Jescar could get their hands on a relabeled menzerna 3in1 that was a few dollars cheaper and protected as long as power lock.....

Price is why I ask...I can get the blackfire for the same price as speed right now. If it's that good, I'll take advantage of the price. Otherwise I already have meguiars white wax and griots one step sealant. From what I understand, neither one of these are great (I got for free) but I would rather use them than sit around. I only have 2 cars to take care of and only have time 2-3 times a year to use the DA on them. The correcting is minimal and after each wash I like to spray wax (ultimate quick wax) each time for a little added protection/shine/slickness. I guess I just don't want to pass up the deal if it's that good that it will make things easier for me, otherwise I have plenty of inferior AIO to get me by for a while.

They're pretty close but Blackfire definitely offers more cut. It honestly reminds a lot of The Last Cut except it's way easier to use and remove and it leaves the paint slicker and glossier than even HD Speed. I am shocked every time I use it. It's the only blackfire product I've ever been able to confidently say is 100% worth the money.

How does BF finish on soft paint? TLC finishes pretty hazy with cutting pads on softer paint, IME.

I used it on my wife's Nissan that has pretty soft paint ant it worked really well. It was just a test door for the product and was only using a blue B&S pad. Not that much cut in that pad. Finished slick as heck though.

I worked on a 2015 black Nissan Rogue this weekend. Paint was definitely not soft, but not rock hard either. Very nice paint to work with.

My fault, I should have been more specific. It reminds me of TLC in the way it spreads across the paint and it's lubrication. It definitely doesn't have nearly as much cut as TLC. If Jace made an AIO though I imagine it would be alot like BF 1-step.
It's better than HD Speed and S30+ on the really soft paint I've had the opportunity to try it on. I thought HD Speed was easy to remove but BF 1-step is absolutely easier. You can't even feel it when you're removing it. It literally feels like you are just running a towel across a freshly sealed surface. zero grab at all.
