I celebrated the 15th anniversary of my heart attack by giving my 2008 GMC Sierra a full wash and cleaning. The Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant that I applied in October is still holding up well. Luckily there was a lot of shade today but I did have some water spots. I quickly wiped them away with Wolfgang Uber mixed as a detail spray and TheRagCompany edgeless towel. The tires were cleaned with Meguiars D143 and dressed with Blackfire Tire Gel. The interior was cleaned with Blackfire BF-450 APC and topped with 303 Protectant. The WeatherTech matts were previously treated with their own brand of sealant and it works quite well. They were much easier to clean.
I am happy to be alive and happy to be involved in a hobby that brings me a lot of joy.

Truck looks amazing for it's age. Especially the interior. I'm glad to hear of your continued health since your heart attack! How old were you when it happened if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks Mires. I was only 39 when I had my heart attack and I was exercising when it happened.

39 wow, scary! Glad you are doing well. That’s me in a couple years. I’m glad I’m keeping my exercising up.

That truck looks better than most 1-2 year old trucks around here. I never see that interior color. It looks great. Those seats look about as close to new as a 1 year old truck with 10,000 miles or less! The paint and wheels look amazing as well.

Gorgeous truck and congrats on 15 years!

How many miles are on the truck now? It's a true cream puff.

Thanks for all of the good wishes guys. Detailing is great therapy. My truck only has 75,000 original miles. I work from home and I have a company car. The truck usually goes out on weekends and an occasional trip to Connecticut. My little nephew loves it.

75,000 Hwy miles and pampered use/care. Your truck will last 30 years at that pace. And probably look damn good in 30 years too!

Awesome, UD.

I hate when non-geeks ask me why I spend so much time keeping my truck looking new. They say "It's a truck, why bother?"

Huh?? Lol

Nice post, fellow truck man. And congrats on the 15 year mark. :dblthumb2:

I hate when non-geeks ask me "Why do you bother keeping it clean? It's only a truck."

Huh?? Lol

Congrats on the 15, fellow truck man. :dblthumb2:

Thanks Paulie. The truck has seen hard work like moving furniture, trips to the dump, driving through a blizzard, trips to the lumber yard. It has also seen 5 star restaurants, weddings and taking grandma to the grocery store. This was her favorite vehicle of mine. Today's trucks ride a lot better than the Fords and Chevys of the 70s. It takes a lot longer to clean and detail the truck but it is an enjoyable process.

Looks awesome for 10 years old! Glad your doing better my friend.

Glad you are still with us and able to participate in this craziness that brings you happiness!!! The truck looks good too!!!

Always enjoy seeing older well-maintained original vehicles. The truck looks great . A real testament to your passion.

Respect.

Nice looking truck! Love the 'old school' interior - no huge infotainment screen, etc. Looks so much cleaner than today's trucks, which are decked out with too much stuff in the dash. Looks cluttered IMO. Weathertech mats too....pricey but worth it.

Btw - I'm driving a black '03 Silverado and keep it in pristine condition so your pickup caught my eye! Wishing you good health.

David

They probably haven't looked at the sticker on a new truck!
