Review: 3D ONE Hybrid Cutting Compound and Finishing Polish

With HD Cut, yes. With One, i haven't yet. I have a ton of work lined up to give a more in depth review. This was my initial thought on the product.

The paint I was working on looked fine after one stage, no matter which pad I used. Paint was pretty hard though, and I wasn’t chasing perfection as the job was a favor for a friend on an older car. If it was mine, and had softer paint I would have tried a test with a softer pad afterwards to see if any improvement.
 
ONE would be a game changer if it cut like Sonax Cutmax on hard paint and finished like Sonax Perfect Finish on soft paint. I know it can’t do the latter. This does not mean it’s a bad product. I’m actually enjoying using it. 3D has really pumped this stuff up to be the best thing since sliced bread.

I was finally able to test out 3D One on a black vehicle. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
 
B&S microfiber finishing pad. Great combination on this vehicle. It's a brand new truck, brand new as in less than 1000 miles on it. Someone mentioned One leaving micro-marring on black clear that was on the softer side. This is probably as fresh as it get other than coming out of the body shop. 3D One left no micro-marring whatsoever and finished down very well. To those of you having finishing issues with this product, i'd say you either have the wrong pad combination with One or you need to retire the polisher.
 
I did not apply any type of topper to this truck at the time of these pictures. It'll get an IPA wipe-down and ceramic coated tonight though.

Like i stated in my earlier post. 3D One is a game changer. It's superior to any other products i've used. Nothing else that i've used in my career cuts as hard, finishes as well or does these things as quickly all in one product.
 
GAME CHANGER!!!!! I got mine off of the FedEx van today. I detailed a truck with almost 200k on the clock. Had a ton of over spray on it and a few scratches here and there. What a perfect time to use this I though. It cuts really good!!! It was able to knock down all of the scratches and leveled out the paint. I’m in love with this!!!!! I used a Rupes Milli and a Meguiars yellow pad btw.

Finally got around to using yesterday on a Red Jewel Tint coat 2011 Camaro. Car is a show car so paint wasn't that bad. Owner had done a correction himself but didn't do the greatest of jobs. 3D one, Rupes 21mm and Rupes yellow pad knocked it out in one step.


Tough to capture the defects as I was getting a bunch of glare ect. But you can kinda see them here. Micro marring etc.

How would guys compare this to something like menz 2500? I have a 32oz bottle thats pretty much done and I'm wondering if I should try this when it runs out.

I'd have to agree. One is superior in all aspects. Menzerna typically is oil upon wiping off. One comes right off with zero effort. I even let One sit on the first panel of the truck i did until i was completely finished with the correction and then wiped it off. Even then, it was effortless. Fantastic product.
 
How is the cut? Is it closer to a medium polish or a compound? I have 400 as well. Would you go as far to say this replaces both 400 and 2500?
