What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Ok listen, he said a $29K car was out of his price range (Elantra N-line) so it's either newer and cheaper or used and more well bought. That said, I'm going with a used GTI.

69 Roadrunner. 440 Six-Pak, Pistol Grip shifter, 3.83 rear gear?

Kidding. Just my wish. Lol

This will be a better reveal than the C8 without a doubt

Been putting the F150 through the ringer lately, with fishing n dirt roads. Tonight cleaned it up using pressure washer to remove mud n bugs. Followed by optimum car wash, blow dry n towel, then McKees fast wax ( has a coat Collinite 845 put on Oct 2018)

So its FNW time!

Because I did the 3 step, 3 different tire product cleaning on Wednesday, as well as an Turtle Wax snow foaming and rinse so the car wasn't too bad but I wanted to make the tires right as well as even out the coat of Sonax rim shield, here we go.

I sprayed Super Clean 1:1 in the wheelwells and foamed down the tires, wheel faces and barrels with P&S Brake Buster @5:1. I did notice some brown being lifted but I did NOT touch anything, tires or wheels, just rinsed down and dried and moved on to the wash. For the wash I chose N914 WW in my Kwazzer, it's what I keep in my trunk. Now I should mention that while doing that TW snow foaming and rinse I decided to use the TW Ice Detailer as a drying aid. I've watched many of Apex Detailings reviews of this product and I must say its MOST IMPRESSIVE! So tonight i wanted to try a dry application after the N914 WW and DAMN the Gloss left behind, remember I've got 2x's TWSS on there from a couple weeks ago, it has truely brought this paint up yet another level!

Well now it's time for the shower, i was able to get after it this evening earlier than usual but as i finished up the wife and daughter rolled into the garage, so time to hit the shower, looking forward to the reveal tonight....come on with those pics

Lol sorry for the delay everyone. Also going to be a let down because I only have one picture right now

ANNYWAY. CPO 2017 GTI SE. 13,200 miles. The SE this year came standard with the performance pack. So 220hp instead of 210, bigger brakes, and the electronic front diff. It's a DSG car with leather instead of the plaid cloth. Pure White in color.

Of course they were told not to wash it. So I'll have ne a new project to work on in the future. For now the exterior will just geta good bath and chemical decon for now. Won't clay or do any machine work for a little while. Waiting for it to cool down and have a bit more time. Glass and trim will get sealed and the paint will probably just get Optimum Car Wax or something along those lines for now. Interior will also get the full treatment as well.

A nice upgrade over the Chevy Sonic for sure.

Lol yep you were. I gave a subtle like to your post. And idk tune may happen in the future but probably not. For me right now its plenty quick. Sonic was rocking a whopping 138HP vs the 220. And 148 lb ft torque compared to 258. So increases of 82 and 110 respectively.

ALSO VW is know to underrate power. I've seen a stock dyno chart for a 17 GTI at 220whp and 275 torque

All you'll need is a simple JB4 boost controller if you're not going to go full blown tune and trash your warranty. Do a bit of reading on VWVortex and then hop over to Burgers forums. You'll love it.

So I've got the morning/afternoon to myself before the wife and I head out later to our friends 36th birthday party, so I decided to head down to the garage to do a couple things. The first thing was to take some Meg's masking tape and make a loop to pick up some debris that I can't get with the vac. Next up was to apply another coat of Gyeon leather to the seats, portion of the door panels, steering wheel and shiftknob. While in the interior a couple squirts of CG's Signature scent on the mats. Finally I decided to add a 2nd coat of OPT tire coating to ensure complete coverage, now it's time to crack open the last vanilla orange Coke and relax and listen to Pat Caputo on 971 Detroits Sports Talk
