What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Lol yep you were. I gave a subtle like to your post. And idk tune may happen in the future but probably not. For me right now its plenty quick. Sonic was rocking a whopping 138HP vs the 220. And 148 lb ft torque compared to 258. So increases of 82 and 110 respectively.

ALSO VW is know to underrate power. I've seen a stock dyno chart for a 17 GTI at 220whp and 275 torque

Surprised you didn't add some ZZP parts to the Sonic

So I've got the morning/afternoon to myself before the wife and I head out later to our friends 36th birthday party, so I decided to head down to the garage to do a couple things. The first thing was to take some Meg's masking tape and make a loop to pick up some debris that I can't get with the vac. Next up was to apply another coat of Gyeon leather to the seats, portion of the door panels, steering wheel and shiftknob. While in the interior a couple squirts of CG's Signature scent on the mats. Finally I decided to add a 2nd coat of OPT tire coating to ensure complete coverage, now it's time to crack open the last vanilla orange Coke and relax and listen to Pat Caputo on 971 Detroits Sports Talk

Man if you really want to relax I'd recommend muting Caputo.

I love how the red stripe in the grill continues on into the headlight, really smart styling there!

I wonder if it has cloth seats with the plaid inserts

Agrees it's a nice touch. And nope, no plaid. Has the titan black leather option. I prefer leather but the plaid cloth has always been pretty cool.

Well I'm taking a break now because it's super hot and I'm soaked. Got the wheels and tires cleaned up. They were HAMMERED. Took about 6-7 rounds of Power Clean straight on the tires, and quite honestly they aren't perfect but they're close enough for today.

Wheels were also beat but good news I got to put Brake Buster through it's paces on a really dirty wheel and it did a really nice job. I was a bit surprised. I did do two rounds of cleaning with BB just because. And for now the wheels got Hydo Blue. Tires will get dressed later.

Not sure if you have a leather product but Gyeon leather is AWSOME, as is Leather Masters creme. For leather cleaner I bought the Connelly leather cleaner concentrate is the bargain bin and it's simply great, but there's many leather cleaners out there that do a great job

Oh yeah I'm a disciple of Gyeon Leather. Nowadays it's the only leather cleaner I use. And Leather Shield on top.

I did not. I have used BB on tires before and it works great. I do not have an IK. I'm waiting for that new Pro version to he available from AG and then a gallon of BB. Just about done with my 16oz bottle that I bought to try. First time I used it I knew I would be buying a gallon.

Your smart to wait for the IK PRO foamer I'm getting one too and it will then be my new wheel cleaner application tool, LOL, I'll find another use for my current IK 1.5, no worries

Almost thought you would've joined the Seoul Speed Society and gotten the Elantra N-line or Elantra GT Sport CPO but the GTI is a great choice

Yep was getting ready to buy a 1.5 in the future and then I saw the Pro so I figured I've waited this long I might as well get the Pro. Waiting for the Marolex sprayers to become available and see how good they are. They appear to be great.
