What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Cleaned up all three exteriors this morning, cut the grass and BBQ'd good food and downed some home made IPA a customer gave me for lunch. #SuburbanDadRoutine

Well I was bored before the sun went down and decided to wipe the ES down with Ech2o @7:1 WW ratio. There were some things on the car going to or coming from C&C this morning so I wanted to ensure a good nights sleep, LOL I cleaned the glass with Invisible Glass and gave the tires an ultra light coat of "Holeshot". Now it starts off the week nice and fresh and its going to be a nice, warmer work week too

Wheel Porn

My ritual used to be twice a year when I changed over winter rims/snows with summer rims/tires. Now it's only in the fall when I start prepping to go west for the winter before it snows.

A set of new tires required I remove the old glue from the wheel weights and detail the barrels . I also sand the brake pads (deglazing) and paint the rotor "hats" and calipers...... all this on a ....minivan!

Yes, I sleep better at night. A pet peeve of mine is looking though an open wheel and seeing rusty components behind it. I'm sure I'm not the only one here like that. :D

Looks very nice...my hats are nasty right now and need to find the time to paint them myself!

Received my first Collinite 845 order yesterday, decided to be patient and not apply it last night, and waited till after lunch today, so the temperature would be good. I decided to apply by hand, WOW, so easy to apply, and even easier wipe off. And the results are great, the below picture is cropped only, no other adjustments. Looking forward to applying it to the Qashqai soon. View attachment 70973

Looks great, Dave!

845 is now a "yesterday's product" by most people's standards. But it will never be to me.

With proper care, you can expect that 845 to last 6 months. Easy.

I agree, it’s in my cabinet and will always have a place there.

Not sure when I'll use it next directly but KSG came out when I was like what, 3 and I still have it in my collection

First time I’ve ever “washed” my car while at a vacation destination.
Lots of mountain dust. So dry. CarPro Ech2O made quick work of it.

Nice Edge! It looks new.

I cleaned up my Mother in Laws Audi Q5 today, just exterior and door jambs. Got it ready for winter with Finish Kare 1000P. Tires dressed with 303.

So I did a "Eve's better half" RW using leftover wash solution and dumped in 1000ML of Echo mixed at 7:1 for WW duty (needed the sprayer) to clean the very dusty ES, it hasn't been washed since the middle of last week and it was VERY windy here in the Windy City yesterday, all day and night.

I posted the pic of the rinse water to show any noobs how much these products really pull off of the car and yes, this was just the car, the tires/wheels was treated to a Brake Buster foaming and rinse, no agitation needed really so I didn't. I didn't expect the rinse bucket to look like that, my God

...just got a notice on my phone, rain expected in Palatine @8 p.m....well it was supposed to rain today too, we'll see but doesn't matter, felt better washing the car

Thanks Paul and the funny thing is the amount of orange peel on both rear quarters too, rest of the car is pretty good after the paint correction back in May.

The car has been outside 24/7 since the end of June but the real test is coming soon enough
