What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The FJ had some light dust spots from some late rain last night. So I gave it an ONR wash in the garage. I'd applied some Meg's Quik Wax to the Qashqai last week, I don't know if it's supposed to have antistatic properties or not, but the Qashqai has stayed dust free since. So I applied some to the FJ as well.

While I had it in the garage, I took a pic of this spot I have on my hood, it's about 8mm across, won't polish out, and appears to be under the clear coat, I took a close up shot, there appears to be a pattern of dots to it, I wonder if the adhesive from the vinyl I had on the hood, somehow stained though the clear coat, I hope you can make it out in the picture. Two cars and 4.5 hours of therapy today. Although climbing into the back seat of the Mustang to clean the rear screen was hardly therapeutic. :(

With a top of 13 deg C / 55 deg F today, I'm really loving the ability fill my buckets with warm water. :D



 
I ordered gallon size Megs Quik Interior Detailer and Megs Hyper Wash.

It was so bad lol & I leaned into it sooooo hard!
Really didn't have much to loose

I figured I removed around 16 microns of clear. Figured I had about 45 microns to work with from my measurements.
 
Not surprised. Although what I am surprised about is that she didn't stop right away. Just kept going.

I'm in the southern state of Victoria. Our winter temps can be as low as 25 def F / -4 deg C, with daytime temps ranging between 50 - 60 deg F / 10 - 16 deg C.

Our summers can be up to 113 deg F. I HATE SUMMER!!

Just depends on what state you live in, Some have summer heat in winter.
I live in Tasmania which is under Melbourne Victoria a island and we are getting smashed by rain wind at the moment, temp is 10 - 12c during the day

I love Tassie, been down there 4 times over the years. You have the best driving roads in the country, I guess that's why the you have the Targa.

But it does get cold, I was on Mount Wellington one time, I was only out of the car for 5 minutes, and ice formed on my beard, but only on the side the wind was coming from.
