What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Rinsless’d the Camaro with the rest of the Rinsless mix i made yesterday.

Wanted some added gloss but not a heavy protectant so added some Ammo Reboot after.

I finally finished applying Hyperdip to my grill. I initially applied about 8 coats about a month ago, but held off on applying the emblems because I kind of felt like maybe I should’ve done more than 8 coats… So a couple days ago I finally made the decision to apply 4 more coats and I’m glad I did because it looks even better now.

Here’s what my grill looked like before. [this is after I removed the Plastidip it used to have on it]

Then I sort of customized the grill by adding the Wreath & Crest.

This car originally came equipped with Night Vision, hence the hole in the grill.

Decided to blow the dust off of the ES this evening. Recieved a sample of BF snow foam from AG when my recent B.O. was sent to me a couple days ago, let's try it out today

I added the 2 oz sample in my CG's foam gun and started with the rims. Used 2 brushes to clean them up. Next I foamed the entire car, let dwell and rinsed off. The toppers I've used the past 2 days in a row, Adam's Slick & Slide and their graphene detailer, had the paint BEADINGWhile wett I continued the Adam's train by using up their H20 Guard and Gloss. This is an excellent drying aid but gives REAL protection AND GLO$$ It's basically their version of TWHS Wet Wax, another outstanding product (full bottle of it is ready to go) One mf towel spreads the product around and dries the area a little bit as well, then follow up with your drying towel...so easy!

I then used the mini Master Blaster to dry the tires/wheels and grill completely. I then added a light coat of Adam's graphene tire dressing, vac'd my floor mat as well as my daughters. I finished up by spraying some TWHS Leather Mist on the seats, steering wheel and shiftknob.

Now it's time to put on some Miles, light a candle and soak in the tub

Lockdown Day 7 -

A guilty pleasure today.

Although I'm not entirely sure if this is technically considered "essential", but I took the XR8's cover to the laundromat yesterday. Clean cover means I needed a clean car to go with it.

The FGX generation Falcon grill is a pig to get dry. Not only does the water sit inside the hundreds of pockets in the grill, it also likes to collect in the space around the pewter coloured grill surround and bumper. The same thing applies to the fog lamps.

More guilty pleasure was had with dressing the under-bonnet plastics with 303 and treating the leather.

And of course my favorite touch, dressing the rubber. And yes, I do match my watch color to the cars.

Couple things…

More work on the Jeep. Will post a pic or 2 in my thread.

Finally pulled the trigger and bought the Flex Mini
Told the husband it was essential for detailing the Jeep

AND.......... For getting into those hard to reach areas of the mower and snow blower........:awesome::righton:

Lockdown Day 8 -

More engine bay detailing.

and where is the rock star during these "detailing" stints? :work:

btw, the engine details look great! :D

In by the fire keeping warm, a top of 48f today.

He did get to go on walkies twice though today.

Lockdown Day 9 -

No detailing today, but I did create a need for some detailing!

1.5 cubic metres of rock made certainly had an effect on rear ride height!

I visited that place three times today, as I'm sure you can guess, I was wincing the whole time. :(

In honor of DFB's work truck being dirty, I went out and washed the ES, maybe you'll feel better DFB

It actually rained on it yesterday and hadn't been washed in a couple days anyways so it was due! For this wash I simply added 4 oz of Adam's carwash soap into my CG's foam gun, foamed down and let dwell and rinsed away. Now even though I added Adam's H20 Guard and Gloss to the last wash I decided to use Adam's Slick and Slide as a drying aid. I previously used this product earlier in the week on a dry ES, today I wanted to try it on a wet ES. This is a great product that produces Gloss AND Slickness

For the wheels I foamed them with Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner, let all 4 dwell while I got the soap ready for the wash. I didn't touch the tires other than foam them with the Adam's carwash soap and wiped them dry.

Right now I'm running a load of mf towels using TRC Rags to Riches and when done they will air dry.

Your up next DFB, I'm sure you'll find the CLEAN "down under" all that work dirt

The wife’s X3 is prepped for polishing later today or tomorrow.

First I gave it a chemical decontamination using BF Iron Remover prior to wash, wasn’t too bad. Washed the car using DP Foam Soap Extreme with 12 +\- micro fiber towels and clayed with the Nanoskin Fine Grade Mitt...rinsed off and then dried with my microfiber big blue towel...I like to call it the bath mat!

Wheels and tires were hit with Megs 143 with multiple brushes and mitts, trying to finish the rest of the 143 so I can start using PS Brake Buster.

I’m heading to the gym for a quick workout and if the wife and daughter aren’t doing anything later I’ll go ahead and finish it off with BF One Step and 303 Graphene!
