What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Last day of gymnastics and killed the usual hour by cleaning the windows (outside ones) and wiped the ES down with Adam's CS3 Graphene, what a joy this product is I boosted the tires with a VERY light spray of Adam's graphene tire dressing and vac'd my mat and Kendall's mat. Finished up with a squirt or two of CG's Signature scent

Is that your truck? Or?

Let me guess, bushes on a fence next to the driveway?

Naw, I think someone actually hung sandpaper to get that many scratches. Wow. That's criminal to do that to a vehicle but at least we know they're using it as they intended. And then Fly07sti did his best Dr. House impression and made the patient as good as new.

Those tires look awful...as I look to order that graphene tire dressing. :) Great job as usual!

I reckon a shrub is the culprit. I’ve seen scratches like that before. Lol.

Not mine. I have a Tundra. Actually is the assistant Fire Chief’s for my City. He got caught in a trail on a camping trip.

Picked up a new detailing cart

Grants vs Griots detailing cart
So I know Harbor Freight is frowned upon but their detail cart is nice $59

Much bigger bottle holders etc
Pics show how well the different bottles fit
Includes a nice seat cushion as well

Waiting on this to actually come back in stock. Not many stores have it right now.

On vacation this week, so I’m spending some quality time with the Ram…

Wash with HW, polished the wheels with 3D speed

Also went to town on the interior with Griot’s interior cleaner followed by 303.

I hadn’t cleaned my WeatherTech mats at all this year (neck punch!), but just a quick scrub with some HW and a spray of Griot’s Black Satin always brings them back to life.

Tomorrow will be quick once-over with GG Correcting cream and a nice coat of 476s. :)

Definitely. This took many trips over 3 months to catch 1 in stock. Not available online either

Some more time spent on the XR6 today with some quick engine bay detailing.

This is a naturally aspirated version of the Ford Barra Inline 6. While the turbo version is more famous, the NA version still makes 198 kw / 268 hp and 409 Nm / 302 ft lb when ran on premium fuel. Not great numbers considering BMW got those figures from a 3.0 at one point rather than the Ford's 4.0, but the torque production from low down is what this engine excels at. And yet it will still run out to the 6250 rpm shift point with ease, although she is making a bit of noise by that point. I love the raspy nature of this engine, the turbo version is somewhat muffled in comparison.

Onto the Jag for a quick wash. I decided to grab Gyeon Tire Express to change things up.

Not a huge fan of this product, it's ok but doesn't wow me.

I had to give the Qashqai a wipe down today, we had 2.5 inches of rain overnight and I made the mistake of opening the garage door this morning. The wind filled some of the garage door panels with water, and it dripped all over the front half. It was only lightly dusty, so I used a QD dilution of ONR. Very little driving happening, were in a lock down at the moment, about to head into week 4, I think.

On a happy note, the heavy rain allowed the FJ to clean itself, the last protection I put on it was Meg's Quikwax, about a month ago. View attachment 74202

Have you tried it yet?
Which hose were you using on that vac before?
Which vacuum is it?
Does it feel like you’re getting a noticeable difference in suction now? [just by how it feels, if you haven’t actually been able to put it use]

Edit: I just saw your thread.

Works really well. The suction isn't affected at all.

I have a video on a fb detailing group. I'll throw it on YouTube later and post it here

I meant is your suction better, not worse.
But now that I’ve seen your vacuum, it’s possible that you went from using a 2.5” to 1.7/8ths hose, so I see why you might’ve thought I meant that.

I wonder if the suction is much different than using the vac with the older style claw attachment that I have for my vac, which never really felt adequate when I tried using my vac to pick up wet carpet messes.

So before it gets to 93 today and HIGH humidity, I decided to wash the ES, it's been almost a week...I think

I decided on P&S Pearl for the pre-wash and I've gotta use this more, foams up real good and leaves a clean surface and ready for the 2BM.

While that was dwelling I used Brake Buster on the tires and wheels, 3 brushes used to clean everything up. While wet I sprayed the Meg's HCW @3:1 on all 4 rims and let it sit till I sprayed off the soap from the 2BM.

For the 2BM I used Griot's Garage regular carwash, 4 ounces to about 4 gallons and the Adam's version of the BRS. About half way through I had to spray some more water into the soap bucket to produce more suds and it worked, no problems. I sprayed the ES down and then used free flowing water to finish up.

To dry the car I used a Gauntlet and Griot's Garage PFM, along with Beadmaker as a drying aid. I then dried the tires and wheels. I took that mf towel and sprayed some 303 Tire and Rubber cleaner into it and swiped the tires, followed up with a dry mf towel and finally applied some Adam's graphene tire dressing.

Last thing I did was to spray some Adam's interior leather scent inside the car
