What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The Ranger has a service booked tomorrow, I wanted to get it cleaned up prior to it's visit. Oh, and it would mean playing with my new gun and bucket setup. :D
Hopefully the service tech who works on it tomorrow will appreciate the cleanliness.

I always like my vehicles clean before they go to the dealer for service... I feel like they will know and see I care about them and maybe take a little extra care while working on it.
Basically I want them to know I'm OCD about my vehicles and if they do something it's their A$$:laughing::laughing:

I do the same, but it makes it all the more disappointing when I get it back with greasy finger prints on it. This hasn't happened for a while though, the guys I use now are really good. Others have told me not to use them, they're too expensive, but the FJ has never felt better. I don't mind paying for good service.

I haven't experienced the fingerprints in quote a while now.

Yup, you can't put a price on quality service.

You are an animal, Ric................ :righton:

When the owner found out he was beyond shocked to the point where he asked is that even possible? He was worried about his truck somehow being damaged because I hadn’t used running water to wash it. I said “you’re looking at it aren’t you”? Lol.

Ranger serviced again for another year. The cleanliness of my "ute" was duly noted with a remark stating "this is the cleanest ute I have ever seen!" by the service advisor. :D

The windscreen wiper operation test left the screen grotty, and they did run it through a puddle. :(

Some ONR and a few minutes and I had it back to spec. :xyxthumbs:

It rained here yesterday and overnight so the ES needed a good wash

I decided to do a Griot's Garage foaming surface prep pre-wash and Duragloss carwash 2BM wash. For the tires and wells I used 303 Tire Cleaner and Brake Buster for rims, all 4 brushes were certainly needed

Once I was done rinsing everything down I decided to do some additional "Dragon prep" by finishing up my bottle of 303 Touchless Sealant. At first I didn't think I had enough so I used it sparingly but not only was able to do the entire car but the glass AND the wheels...again!

I dried everything down and tried a different angle for the pic, stretched my arms up as high as they'd go, trying to mix it up here

Might get one more wash before we leave a week from today, looking forward to this trip this year, really need to get away

Look at how that fence to the side of the "Blue Pearl" hates all of Roger's wash media!!!:laughing::laughing:

Messed around with some Ech2O, then stopped. Shelby needs a full bath.

I forgot to mention this but I'm sure I did when I posted that Dam pic originally but that's the same Dam they used in the movie "The Fugative". The famous scene where Tommy Lee Jones finally catches up with Harrison Ford and then Harrison Ford's character jumps. On the Tail of the Dragon map it's called Fugative Dam.

One of these days I may get back down there... not that I have anything fun to drive on it at the moment.
