What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I took the EN to gas station go fill up and get a wash. Foamed up the tires/wheels with Brake Buster beforehand. Stopped at Discount Tire to have the tire pressure set as well. Once home I got out the DIY Detail RW made up as a WW to clean up the tires/wheels, wipe down the engine bay and spot drying the rest of the car

A bit cold out today but knocked off 2 weeks of winter grime. Wow. That was one dirty truck! Noticed something off as I was washing. The film/grime was almost like a light grease! Turned the wash mitt a very dirty black. Killed the suds in the bucket. It did come off the paint. Only thing that comes to mind is maybe the salt brine or crap they used on the roads. Finished with TWHS wet wax.

Good choice of the TWHS Wet Wax

I used TWHS Wet Wax on the Qashqai last week, it got rained on mid-week, and left out in the hot sun, dried with barely any water spots, and those were only around the back hatch. I still went over the whole thing with TWHS 3 in 1 Ceramic Detailer, the Combo really seems to resist dust and water spots.

What products are those?

DIY Detail. Think they're just starting to build steam.

The Rinseless is pretty versatile and the Interior Ceramic seems solid (only been a week in my case) but was easy to apply. Definitely a strong smell though so I had to let it air out for awhile.

Yeah the Interior Ceramic is a great product, already used 1 bottle and my 2nd bottle is primarily going to be used on the carpets and boosting the seats and Alcantara bitsThe Interior Clean and Protect is a great maintence product for the interior, yes...DIY Detail is on a roll here out the gate

The g/f's Cruze was in need of a wash, it's been 2 weeks since I did the last RW, that was Absolute RW...today it was DIY Detail RW's turn. Did 2 oz to 3.5 gallons of water and used my IK sprayer to pre-treat each panel. This product is so easy to work with, even in the sun but it is mid 30's right now. Once I was done I used the leftover to do the tires and wheels, not like a proper tire product and scrub cleaning but better than before and that's what I was going for here. No tire dressing applied because she's getting the Continental DWS06'S rotated tomorrow.

Now the EN is getting washed, but at the touch-free wash. I'm using 1 oz of DIY Detail Incredible Suds and .5 oz of Bilt-Hamber AutoWash for its pre-wash, love mixing products. I also added a new felt tip "just because", the old one wasn't dirty persay but had something on it, so why not replace it.

These newcomers (P&S Absolute and DIY Detail) are on their game

After bouncing around between Adam's and Shine Supply I went with Can Coat Evo. Original Can Coat worked so well I figured I might as well stay with it. I'm not going to polish this time though. Going to do a full decon using Iron/Descale and Paint Prep. Reapply Can Coat only this time the Evo version. Going to use Can Coat on engine bay plastic too.

Thanks for sharing! This is an important part to know - nothing worse than fighting a wash because a product doesn't like being cold!

I see you've got Descale in the basket and I've used it and it's ok for what it is but a gallon of Bilt-Hamber Auto-foam and Touchless ($44-50 give or take) is a better value and stronger product, plus you can do touch-free washes using either one at a reduced rate, pre-wash at the advertised rate or stronger rate for more intense uses. Not bashing your choice so don't get me wrong but for a few dollars more you'd have A L O T more product with either of the Bilt-Hamber products mentioned

Thanks Klasse :xyxthumbs:. I need to try the BH Touchless/AF.
The thing is, I've been using these 2 products for well over a year and I just don't need anything else for pre-wash during the winter. When my car was crusty/dirty, these products would just melt away the muck!!

Now during the other 3 seasons, I don't have to use them as much because I'll be doing 2BM washes more often but in the event where it rains many days in a row and the EN is TRASHED, a pre-wash using either one laughs at the dirt and makes the contact was VERY EASY

Finally price, we all care about it and not only is Bilt-Hamber Touchless and Auto-foam great at what they do but are a much, much better value than Descale, although we're talking about a 16 oz bottle compared to a gallon but even the bigger size of Descale, if there's even one available, isn't going to match them! Don't even get me started on Bilt-Hamber AutoWash, their SUPER concentrated carwash. This product is crazy, 1 oz in your 5 gallon bucket makes a strong wash with crazy bubbles. The pH of Auto-foam and Touchless are 12-13, so keep that in mind

Just applied DIY Detail Interior Clean and Protect to my entire interior. This stuff even works on my Alcantara, just a great, GREAT product

I've used it many times and it just helps me keep my interior looking like the exterior

You know that’s 3 times the recommended dilution. It has a 2000 to 1 dilution.

Next time try .4 to .5oz to 3.5 gallons of water.

If your trying to get it clean/clean look up ABC wash method by Labocosmetica.

Basically you do a acidic wash, like Descale. Rinse. Followed by a alkaline wash. You could us BH products or I like Mckee’s Coating prep soap.

Then a PH neutral wash. ValuGard which is used by dealers wash process is the same. I just did the same with what I had available to me.
