What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Some spot correction on my gf's mom's car while she's over. This was a little Griot's FCC and their hand waxing & correcting kit with an orange pad. This was paint transfer from hitting her mailbox. Maybe some paint touch-up later.

Took care of the other vehicle yesterday. Used some of the new Kamikaze d'elegance products. I used the new wash and the new spray wax coat. Really like the smell of each on them. The wash is meant to be in a bucket but I tried it from a foam gun. It did OK... not any real foam but definitely suds. The wax was really easy to use and has set-up nicely. It's smooth but has that little squeak to it if you lightly touch... we'll see how water behavior is for the next rain.

Expensive spray wax but fun to treat the cars after an irregular winter with little washing. No complaints on the look for a white vehicle either!

My brother left his car with me while him and his wife are in Las Vegas for 2 days, so I decided to hook his car up for free.

98% sure I've never washed my bicycle since my mom bought it for me 30 years ago.

She gave me a choice of R/C boat or new bike, choice is shown in the pics. It's not light, nor does it glide forever, but still allows me to ride with my kids.

Before (with dog photo bomb) and after. I just went to town with Griots HD wheel cleaner and a few different brushes. Hit the chain with some Water-Displacment #40 to minimize the rust.

Ran the EN through the touch-free wash before work this morning and between the little bit of rain we had yesterday and the trees dropping buds, my car was a disaster, I mean it looked horrible

Once through the wash though everything was right in the world

What are your plans for the upholstery repair for the saddle? :) Seriously, though, looks to be in great shape for a 30 year old bike!

I'm pretty sure that's been there for a good 10 years, adds character....and I'm too lazy to actually fix it. ;)
Just like the wobbly wheels.

I did have to replace the crankset a while back because the crank shaft separated from the sprocket.

"New saddle for Dad" could be a nice Father's Day gift . . .

Did the "usual" but beforehand it received a pre-wash using the IK Foam Pro 12 w/ 1.5 oz of DIY Detail Incredible Suds & 1.0 oz of Bilt-Hamber Touchless, for good measure

It rained and was driven in the rain so it was "dirty" but the self cleaning of the freshly applied Adam's spray graphene and base Gyeon Q2 Pure EVO are really kicking a$$ here

Vac'd it out and will spray some type of interior scent in there after dinner, maybe some light tire topping, not that it really needs it

Did a wash on my dads truck. Clay, and hd speed tomorrow. Interior work tomorrow evening or Friday morning and I’ll drive it back to him.

Washed with foam gun and multiple MF pads with Ammo method. Wheels and tires used

Really loving Tacs Systems Mystic Bubble. Probably my favorite soap (along with AutoFoam).

Use it for everything.

Super Slick, suds well, great dilution.

Polish angel SuperSport on exhaust tips and DarkSide on tires.

Tomorrow is the first time I am detailing a vehicle for profit in a very long time. Doing an exterior detail on my neighbors 2013 GMC Acadia. It's been used and abused by automatic washes for a long time he said and the clearcoat shows it. I made sure he understood what I was going to do would not remove any of those and he understands that. He said "just do what I see you doing to yours all the time." He means my standard two-hour maintenance wash. Well, two hours on a familiar car, not on an unfamiliar SUV. I told him give me three hours and $75. He said absolutely. I feel I do a fairly thorough maintenance wash and he will be pleased. I was hoping he would let me do his wife's Mazda CX-30 but it's a lease and he said he doesn't care about that one. I wanna get up close and personal to that red chromatic paint that Mazda has, I love it. Soul Red I think it is called? Beautiful. I wanna touch it :hungry:

After work I did "the usual" and upon getting home from grocery store I tried a new to me product on the EN...Bilt-Hamber concentrated QD. I diluted it 5:1 in an old Sonax bottle (love those German engineered bottles/sprayers. This product was a B R E E Z E to use and left my paint glossy for sure. There is a 1:1 ratio for MAX gloss and slightly higher ratios for a little less and honestly I'm leaning towards 3:1 right now, especially since I've got other products and my car is generally glossy already

I did a quick top off of the tires using ECO Touch, light coat and it really POPS

Have you also tried at 1:1? On social media I kept seeing complaints of streaking so I avoided buying it in one of the numerous sales at TCG. Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake.

Very thin paint on Mazdas but you're right that Soul Red can pop up nicely.

Added a second coat of DarkSide. Forgot who but someone said it benefits with a second coat.

No issues with sling with DarkSide. Maybe cuz I level with cosmetics brush?

It is a beautiful colour, especially through polarised sunglasses for some reason. A few years back we had a Soul Red Mazda 3 in our driveway for a week, a friend left it with us while she flew overseas. Up close it did not look good, very bad orange peel, no gloss, and like you say, thin.

I haven't tried it at that level yet. Did they say if it was used as a drying aid at that point

Someone in my area has a CX5 in that colour look's good but can never really enjoy it because the lady is doing 80 in 60 zone.

Sandro from Car Craft Auto Detailing said Mazda's all models are crazy thin he had one on his channel and said it's the thinnest paint he's seen.
