What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Used the Armour Detail Supply Iron remover, Decon wash in the BOSS cannon, then the Decon in a 2-bucket wash. They both worked great.

I'll clay tomorrow morning, then out comes the new G9 with the Correcting Cream. Post polishing, I'll apply the Armour Ceramic.

I gave the FJ a 2B wash today. I used Car-Chem Alloy Clean on the wheels, even though they're powder coated steel, and Reset for the main wash. It washed really well, the Lustre/Jet combo on the roof is holding up great, and the Collinite everywhere else seemed to come good again after the wash, it must have been a bit "clogged up". I didn't think it was too dirty till I checked out the Rinse bucket at the end. I didn't use a drying aid, it was so windy today, gusting over 30mph, I didn't want to deal with any overspray going onto already dried areas.

I know this is a 1st world problem but it's MY problem and it's these fukcin' pine trees, is there a way to kill them and/or make them stop making these little dots all over my car

...anyways, about those pine trees

I think one of these might solve the problem..............................

Have a question for all you folks. Maybe someone had done it and can share tips.

Getting headline redone in my 06 Silverado from tan to black. Going to have the visors done same. Interior trim pieces that attach to and hold headline are tan.

1…do I paint dark pewter like rest of interior or go black to match headline?

2…anyone ever painted interior plastics? If so what did you use?

Any tips?

Sem or DupliColor interior paint

Applied tire dressing. Driver front got DG253. Other tires got Griot's Ceramic Tire Dressing. All tires got 2 coats. The Griot's does seem to layer well and was easier to keep off the wheels due to the thicker consistency.

A buddy has done this many times to not only his cat eyes interior but customers as well.

He will base/clear them. But one of most inportant things to painting plastics is the use of an adhesion promoter.

He will also smooth out the plastics by sanding them.

Green pad/M205/15mm throw the entire ZL1. Never got close until I bought one to realize the grille and air ducts around the "fauxglight"(extra DRLs) are painted a metallic charcoal. Thought it was just glossy plastic.

Washed the CX-5.

Here is a nightmare: they are doing construction at my wife's work. Throwing concrete dust everywhere. 80-100% humidity a lot this summer.......yeah, concrete dust and moisture is a fantastic combination.

Regular.

Clayed, polished, applied the Ceramic, (spray). Also used the Ceramic on the wheels. The Correcting Cream was harder to remove than I thought it would be. Wrong towels, perhaps? Then dressed the tires and textured black trim with Jescar tire and trim. A full day for me, six hours working non-stop is about my limit. Especially in an eighty-two degree garage.

So you used the ceramic sealant? I mistook it for the ceramic coating.

How did you like armour details products?

And never used correcting cream, so cant comment

No problem with CC removal when using TRC 300’s or 365’s. Some folks will remove polish with ONR or Feynlab pure rinsless.

Washed the Ranger today, and yes it was dirty...........................

Today, I used Optimum Car Wash, a soap I really like using. Am I alone in thinking that this product is a bit of sleeper? It doesn't quite reach the same heights of Reset or GSF, but I like the how it foams, how it cleans, how it smells.

So far, so good. The Ceramic Sealant couldn't be easier to apply. It isn't real slippery after curing. I just checked it.

It’s a great soap but at 1/2oz to a gallon you use more product it’s not really cheaper than Reset or Tacs Mystic Bubble. Never tried GSF as it is close to $100 a gallon in US.

It cleaned very well and yes if you like foam it foam well.

My only complaint was how thick it is.

Yes it's on thicker side, although not as bad as some (Gold Class, the blue Adam's).

I did a headlight restoration. I really didn’t feel like doing it but it was good pocket change and the customer was so pleased he left a tip and dropped me a 5 star review.

Later in the day I got an oil change and saw a detailing horror show. This is the automatic wash at my local Honda dealership. It looks like something out of an 80s Wes Craven movie.
