What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Hey, who's to say, from where each of us is standing, we both think we're right-side up, but I might be the one who's upside down.
 
Used Touchless today. No contact wash. Came out very good. It is raining next few days so the goal was to just get salt/dirt off paint from snow storm.

Stupid question time...but does this mean you use air to dry or didn't dry since it'll be raining?

No that's not a stupid question at all. So it was misting when I went to do this. I wanted to test how well Touchless could clean because there was a lot of grime built up from a snowstorm and no wash in probably 1.5 months or so....maybe longer. I figured it would be a good test. Being it was lightly raining I could drive off with the car wet and have the rain rinse the water from the car wash bay I used to pressure wash it off. Before I drove off though I did a quick air dry being i still have some time left on the meter to use. The car wash bays I got to have air dryers.

Finally had a window today till about 5PM. Then calling for rain. Took care of several weeks of exterior and interior abuse! Good wash and interior. Finished with flex wax as a rinse wax. #253 on the tires. Wolfstiens tonneau cover protectant. About 2.5 hours all said. Getting older. Ended up with a clean truck in and out.

That is how I do washes in the winter months. Just got to keep a eye out for the windows of opportunity.
 
The g/f's Cruze was even dirtier than my EN (hers was atleast 3 wks dirty) so it was time!

The pre-wash was 6 ounces of Pure:est alkaline snow foam pre-wash and it did a pretty good job, still traffic film at the bottom and needs a good RW to be "clean".The roads were a little wet still but it needed "something"

Did my first “winter wash” of 2024 today. It was above freezing so I sprayed down the car with P&S Absolute diluted at 128:1 then rinsed with garden hose. Brought the car into the garage and turned on the heat. Proceeded to mist down the already wet car with more 128:1 Absolute and then did a rinseless wash with Absolute at 256:1 and several TRC Eagle Edgeless 350s. Misted OG drying aid all over the car and got the bulk drying done with a TRC Gauntlet. Used a TRC FTW twist loop to get any remaining water and streaks taken care of. Wiped down the wheels with a TRC Eagle Edgeless 500 soaked in the 256:1 Absolute.
