Car pro Exlir or P&S beadmaker. Is one better than the other?

Yes I have a gallon and I really like the product. I agree with you on the slickness (which means absolutely nothing other than placebo effect). And the gloss is also very good, no doubt. I am not so sure about the after-curing gloss enhancement, I personally haven't been able to visually see a difference but gloss is so subjective and tough to gauge.

Just because I am being honest about the durability doesn't mean I am hating on the product. It's gone after the first rain or wash just like any other detail spray. And that's backed up by tons of first hand accounts on the internet, not just mine.

So basically it creates slickness and gloss that lasts less than a week - aka - detail spray.

Agreed. Said it since it first launched.

The best use for this product is in place of a detail spray (whatever you decide to classify this as). Sure it’s more on the protection and enhancement end than the effective cleaning end but it will clear dust and fingerprints fine and leave the best gloss and slickness of any other product currently on the market.

They missed the mark with their product positioning on this on, they’re essentially selling a Alpha Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio as an air conditioner that happens to also go pretty fast and look nice.

So Beadmaker removes dust without creating swirls? Can we see some pics of someone cleaning a dusty car with Beadmaker?

You need to give P&S more credit. They do know the difference between a QD and a spray sealant.

Most likely yes, but the product acts more like a detail spray.

They called it Beadmaker and the beads are terrible. They called it a spray sealant and the durability is almost nonexistent.

The gloss and slickness are amazing and I love the smell. Those are the only boxes it checks off.

From BM directions: Wash vehicle prior to product application. Bead Maker works best on new finish or freshly detailed vehicles.

The main purpose of a detail spray is to safely remove dust without inflicting swirls, enhancing gloss is secondary.

The three pluses you mentioned are good enough for me.

If it could remove light dirt and dust P&S would say so.

You’re missing the point that this is a business who shape their products to fit their current offering and a market niche.

If they’re marketing it as a spray sealant, its cleaning ability wouldn’t be on the radar as a consumer doesn’t purchase a sealant for that reason.

We’re not disputing product definitions, were disputing the marketed use of Bead Maker vs its actual use and abilities of the product.

So can someone show some pics of the layer of dust that they remove with Beadmaker? Because if not then talk is just talk...

A liquid removing a layer of dust is no feat.

The test is soft paint, fully corrected, “layer of dust” like you say vs control (water) vs a proven “quick detailer”/waterless spray.

I’ve never used it, so I can’t say it’s a really bad sealant, but common sense would tell me to not use it as a quik detailer.

A quick detailer is not just to remove dust. In my arsenal it’s mostly used as a drying aid and final wipedown product. If I have more than very light dust I am using a waterless wash or a traditional wash.

I’m really not following your intent on this thread. What did the picture of the swirled up car after using Uber waterless have anything to do with Beadmaker and it’s quick detailing characteristics? I’m confused.
