I just did a side by side comparison of 6.5" blue SDO vs. Orange Force. I couldn't determine cut, as they both got rid of the very minor defects, but the blue SDO finished noticeably better. If I had to guess, the orange force would have more cut(like the chart states earlier in this thread). The 6.5" orange force did feel a tad smoother. The blue SDO seemed to break down the diminishing abrasive polish I used better/faster. With forced rotation, a 6.5" pad will have more cut than the SAME 5.5" foam. During a polishing session, the larger pad will retain it's stiffness much better than the smaller pad, translating to more cut(not referring to ultra thin pads).I prefer the LC Hybrid pads for my 3401
I had a feeling the Force would "feel" better on the 3401. I just received one, in white, but haven't tried it.Did some more testing with Force vs. HDO/SDO pads with the 3401. The Force pads are defintely more balanced with the 3401. At the end of the day, if I'm using foam pads with the 3401, the Force pads would definitely be the best option. Love them in 6.5"

I have some blue SDOs coming this week, in time for a detail on Saturday. I'll try them out.
Which plate do you use for the 5.5 Force pads?

I use the Flex 4.5” plate as well. Works well with the 5.5” Force.I had a feeling the Force would "feel" better on the 3401. I just received one, in white, but haven't tried it.
