Mowing the back lawn this morning, saw this guy, thought I should share. View attachment 72180

Can’t dislike but would if i could. What kind of spider is rhat? Brown recluse?
Yes, it's a Garden Wolf Spider, apparently a painful bite, but not lethal. Second row, on right. We've also got Redbacks around here as well. And yes, I'm down under, about 2 hours north of Sydney, near Newcastle. Our house is so new, barely 12 months, it doesn't show up on Google Maps. I even had to tell them where it was on the map, people would look it up and go to the wrong place. 2 years ago it was farmland. View attachment 72188I looked it up and it resembles a wolf spider to me. Based on another post by Big Dave complaining of the heat, I’m going to assume he is from down under or similar. And if so, the brown recluse isn’t native to that area.
Looks like an F22 Raptor Big Dave. Very cool to see that from the backyard...as long as it isn’t too noisy.
Unfortunately, we don't have the F22 down here, we have F35s just entering service. Their silhouette is so close, and the image was pixelated. The only way to tell in that image is the angle on the intakes, not enough angle for an F22. We used to have Hornets, now out of service, and Super Hornets, all currently grounded due to an incident. Good guesses though, given the image quality.Looks like an F22 Raptor Big Dave. Very cool to see that from the backyard...as long as it isn’t too noisy.

It's an F35, and they're loud, but I don't mind. Where we lived in Sydney we had commercial airlines all day, up till about 11pm. The F35s and Hawk trainers we might get a few times a day, and only a few days a week.F-15 Strike Eagle?
I got to walk inside a C5 at an air show 20+ years ago, I'm still amazed at how those things actually get in to the air.Cool. I grew up on an Army base so we mainly had C-130s flying over with some C-5 Galaxies and Huey helicopters thrown in.
