This thread just goes to show everyone how tight knit our community REALLY is! It sucks everyone lives so far away, too bad we all couldn't get together somewhere and have a great dinner and hang out afterwards...maybe mix in something detail related too.

Maybe somewhere centrally located in 9ur country could be possible in the future, putting a face with a (screen) name would be good for the soul

I have been to KC many times. The BBQ there is one of the top 3 in the Country.
 
Well Paul, maybe someone with some real organizational skills can help set this up. I mean there's Detail Fest and I'm sure that's a great event and alot of hard work but what I'm talking about here is something for us. No waiting in lines to meet tv people, etc but rather a name to a face, share a great meal and good times...life is short and I'd wanna maximize the time people sacrificed making it out to this mythical event

That would be a monumental task logistically, but it would be the best time ever IMO. :props:

I just wanna say I'm trying to hijack the thread but when it was brought up about Rics accident a couple years ago it got me to thinking, plus we're not getting younger and it would go a long way towards "food for the soul'.

I've been saying for a couple years about trying to get our car enthusiasts to come out to The Tail of the Dragon one year. Now this isn't for everyone and would be a scaled down version of what I'm talking about but would provide alot of commaradary, especially after a days fun run (think gathering around the fire with your favorite drink, Coca-Cola for me)

Just throwing some ideas out there

Nashville is a great option, small town/Big City! I think the entire downtown Nashville area could fit into the corner of downtown Chicago

I’ve seen you mention the Dragon multiple times. The shop for my HT subwoofer business is less than 2 miles from the entrance to the Dragon coming from Maryville, TN. You’ll need to PM me when you’re coming down next. Just give me enough time to detail my daily driver as I can’t meet a fellow AutoGeek in anything less.
