So a friend of mine and fellow enthusiast from a local group had picked up a really nice and clean Topaz Blue Metallic E46 but due to having a bum knee the 6spd portion of the car, while fun, is a bit of wear and tear for the joint and as per him, he just won't be able to enjoy it nearly enough to justify keeping it.

It's a 2003 with just over 82k on the clock and overall a beautiful example for a car with that age and miles on it. To prep it for sale we decided on a Basic Polish & Protect for the exterior and the Premium Interior Detail for life inside the cabin. In this case the money was spent cleaning and conditioning the leather and providing the fabric/carpeted areas with a super deep dry cleaning.

While it was here he also decided to have the convertible top thoroughly cleaned and a water repellent treatment applied as it looks new and he wants it to stay that way for the new owner.

Overall the car turned out great and I wish Larry the best of luck selling it but I don't think it's going to take much as the 30 or so minutes of fun I with the car while he road shot-gun proves there's a solid reason why these are so sought after and how nice they really are. It absolutely drives like new.

Now onto the pics!

Paint polished with a Flex XCE wearing Lake Country orange flat pads using Sonax Paint Cleaner and Sealant.

Time capsule. Great work improving and preserving it!

That looks like new inside, out, and even that top looks incredible.

I love the 3 & 5 series from the early 00’s.

Really cool to protect the top for the new owner.

Great job TTQ B4U! Can you speak to your deep dry clean of the carpet? Sounds interesting.

Although not LSB that color is nice but taken to the next level with your usual great work, thanks for posting

He should have no trouble selling that at a premium looking like it does now! Well done!

I’d pay top end of the range for that if in the market because you have it looking like 2003!

Thanks! Yep, he's a cool guy and paying to do the top, which looks newer/newish, likely prior to his owning it, is a stand-up thing to do.

Basically a DEEP vacuum with the tornador velocity vac and where needed a simply spray with some pure water and a splash of new car scent mixed in. He didn't want to pay for a full extraction as it wasn't needed to sell, but there were a few spots that needed more. The tornador puts out atomized moisture so I perhaps used maybe 2-3oz in the entire interior. It extracted 2oz of what I put in too. :)

The market for them is crazy.

Looks NEW!!

Great work!

Thank you! It's a solid 9/10 outside and 8/10 inside for sure.

Thanks. I'm interested in seeing what it brings too.

Thanks. I have the Tornador Vac but I'm waiting for the Tornador Max to get the one that sprays a solution. Good to read how you use it though.

Gotcha. Yeah see when I bought mine, I bought (2) Tornador Black Z-020 units then the Velocity Vac Attachement the ZV-200. I keep one set up as the blower/stock the other with the ZV-200 attached. Both can spray liquids.

Looks like they re-designed the handles a bit. I installed a regulator and guage along with a far better swivel as mine will sit flat. They learned from us owners :)
