Griots Garage ceramic glass cleaner

Well my detail was short lived thanks to the weather, however I can see the results of CGC on the glass roof

Also hit up the shower door. I tried it on its own first but it didn't get very clean. So I used invisible glass and then the ceramic glass cleaner.

Ordered some of this yesterday. Bosko, those beads are excellent!

I’m a bit underwhelmed on the cleaning ability. I am also finding some streaking issues requiring a final buff with a separate towel. I’ll give it a shot in spring to see if that changes.

Yeah cleaning ability not so great. Performs decent.

I’m gonna try and follow up with a zep cloth next time.

I'll say it first......I don't think I'm going to buy this again...
1:..doesn't clean very well
2:..doesn't remove like you would think a glass cleaner would.
3:.. it streaks
4:..my wipers smeared the product during a rain
5:... CSS gives(me) the same SIO2 coating and durability
6: I have a bad hair cut and my parents dressed me funny as a kid

I am going to buy a gallon….

I have had really good luck with it but have mainly used it on clean glass after a wash. The few times I used it on dusty windows I felt it wiped away pretty easily.

I also found a waffle weave towel didn’t work well for me and this product but I did find the rag company “Pearl” towels really work amazing cleaning glass.

Like Wash & Coat, I think the Ceramic Glass Cleaner isn't marketed very well since you likely have to clean before using.

I used 2 towels to apply. 1-3 sprays on window/windshield (depending on size), apply with 1 towel (Griot's PFM glass towel) in a cross-hatch pattern, and another towel to buff (Griot's crinkle glass towel, the PFM was grabbier for this). Didn't have any streaks or issues with the wipers in the rain. I applied it over the Griot's glass sealant and it did improve performance. I'll be trying to use this ~monthly.

I have the crinkles just sitting in their package. I’ll give this a try

I agree with the CSS comparison. CSS mayceven be more durable. I do like it as glass protection and got the gallon because it’s cheaper than CSS.

I’m not sold on the CSS as i don’t use 3-1 so don’t need the protection and still find as a pure summer time QD not much beats original SS.

Wish i could get Meg’s CQD in a gallon. Dont feel m799 is the same although marketed as that.

I gotcha now.

I hadn’t thought about using it on glass but after using it for my third try I would say I do prefer the original but might have to try that on glass as well.

When I first got the ceramic glass cleaner I used it on our bathroom shower door and can honestly say it was certainly stronger and lasted about the full week when the Rainx shower door protector/cleaner lasts 2/3 days max.

That actually surprised me how long it lasted on the shower door that made me want a gallon of it.

You can use CSS and 3 in 1 on glass, so I'm not sure why Griot's bothered to even make this. Seems redundant to me. They had the least impressive SEMA products IMO.

Glad to see it is working for some though.
