Griots ceramic all in one

Thaaat's really frustrating. Hopefully when you get your things back they're still in the condition you left them, otherwise I'd be passing along a bill to the Grandson for all those stick-and-debris laden microfibers! (again, hopefully not the case, but you get worried when someone just borrows stuff without asking!)

That's the most frustrating part, he knew we were coming up here and could have easily asked to borrow the stuff and even get help

We briefly talked about this a few weeks ago when we met up with him and my son's family on the Big Island

I would have gladly set him up and he knows it

BUT THAT'S NOT THE SAME AS ASKING PERMISSION

I haven't heard back from him which is not surprising and am hoping for a good outcome

Stick laden microfibers and pads encrusted with product are awesome huh

Well my son DIDN'T give my grandson the keys or gate code for storage so now I have a mystery

Either the tote is buried way deeper in a 10x20 storage unit than I thought or it's in the back of a 40' Conex container I bought when we sold our house to our son and we both needed temporary storage as we were both moving simultaneously

He and I are sharing it and the last thing to be put in their is all the pieces and parts of a new 25' Yurt he ordered

It is in there Jenga style so I won't be getting into it any time soon

Glad my grandson didn't pull a fast one but not looking good for any paint work this trip

Hmmmmmmm, maybe it's time for that new Rupes Duetto I have been thinking about...

OK, I heard back from Griot's and this is what they said

Hi Michael,

Thank you for taking the time to email us here at Griot's Garage. There could be a lot of different things happening with the product, so I will not try to speculate. If you send me your contact information and shipping address, I will get a replacement out to you.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reply to this email or call our Customer Service Department at (800) 345-5789 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. PST Monday through Friday.

Thank you again for your email and have a great day!

Have fun in your garage!

That would lead me to believe the bottles we are posting pictures of aren't the way it is supposed to be

I responded with my shipping info and will let you know what happens

Coincidentally there is a revived thread from last year that showed up today about individual bottles of their Perfecting Cream that were very watery

Interesting. I might hit them up as well since mine looks the same after sitting for a while.
If I remember, I'll look at my bottle when I get home. It's been sitting for 2 days.

I have to wonder if we will be waiting for a while for replacements

If there is an issue with a component of the mix and that has caused them to pull back from even showing it on their site it could take time to sort itself out

:dunno:

They have a livestream this week. I'll ask them about it.

Well, at least it looks like there wasn't an act of disrespect taking place.

How skinny's that grandson? Send him on a spelunking mission!

Pretty Darn Skinny!!!

But I highly doubt my son would like to hear those words that all parents dread to here

"Your son was lost in a tragic caving accident when a pile of Rough Totes fell on him"

I could never live with myself...

I have to dig out my summer tire set this weekend so I will keep an eye out...

Pray for me

they commented that the separation is due to freeze/thaw in transit.

Griots needs to stop live streams......they don't do themselves any favors....IMO

Not sure what to say about that, obviously could be true up here in Alaska

I returned my product today and the manager said "it looks like spoiled milk"

We looked and all his product was the same

I told him there were issues and that Griot's had pulled it from their website

He said that was weird because he hadn't gotten notice of a recall or comeback

I guess I am not out any $ but I am dubious of trying to get anymore

IDK

Thanks for the heads up

The product on the shelf was separated too? It's a strange response given that they've commented in the past that they do freeze/thaw test their products. When I got mine, the weather was going below and above freezing. Kinda a problem if they can't ship it in the winter.

Every bottle of AIO on the shelf looked just like our pictures

And despite the manager commenting on the product looking like spoiled milk I would bet you $100 if I walked in there tomorrow the same product would be on the shelf

I am underwhelmed by both Griots and the store where I bought it

Is this a YouTube thing?

How often do they do it?

Yeah. They stream it on both YouTube and Facebook about once a month. You can watch past streams on YouTube. The topic varies. Tonight was foaming basics.

Thanks, and they take questions from folks logged on I assume?

Yeah, Stevie answers questions in the chat and some questions Sam & Nick will answer in the stream. They started doing a followup video a few days afterward to provide answers to some additional questions asked that they didn't cover in the stream.

Well, I'm in MN and we're finishing up winter, so I could see the freeze/thaw.
But, if that's the cause, why did it separate again after shaking it up and putting it inside at ~65F?

I'm on the edge to return mine as well (even though I opened it).
Or, at least reach out to Griots to get some input and hopefully resolution.

I’m not sure about the separating at room temp issue

Once it’s damaged maybe it’s never going to “reintegrate”

I dated a chemistry major once 47-48 years ago but that’s as close as I have to any chemistry knowledge

I know you used yours and your results look great but I’m just not going to fight a product that’s not right

I haven’t heard anything back from Griots after giving them my contact info so we shall see what transpires

During the livestream, they said people could email [email protected] to get a replacement. I expect customer service would do the same?

At least 2 people brought up the issue.
