SEMA 2022/2023 New Products

It corrects faster is about all i know. So you have that backwards.
Oh yeah thats right, thanks lol

I prefer the power of forced rotation, and toss on 6.5 or 7 inch pads to turn and churn with no stall. Any free spinning tool may work well, but personally i enjoy not having to pay attention watching for pad stall as well.

I love correcting paint but i want it done fast

You might want to check out a rotary then.

i can't speak for others, but for me it is. having a cordless tool/polisher costs more money over time (continued cost) as batteries need to be replaced. at least with the plug-in option, you can run it for however long you want and not have to worry about it running out of power. alternate between battery and plug-in depending on area...

First i have not used a 15mm. But correct me if wrong but isnt the only possible benefit of 15mm over 8 is the possiblity to cover a little more surface area due to longer stroke? But with that you lose the ability of possible quicker more concetrated correction ability?

And i dont personally know any pros so i dont know what machine they use.

I was going back and forth on this issue. I did hear Mike P. Say the 8 is his preferred orbit. better Handling and shorter stroke creates more heat. He went as far as saying he wish Rupes did an 8mm forced and not there 5mm. I spent numerous hours researching this dilemma! Beast is 8mm and is the holy grail of machines. I did go with the Beast and Rupes LHR 15 over 21 for reasons stated. As for my 3" route I really like my 75E .
If I was going to go cordless I certainly would go with the PXE for 4 Bills over Griots (made in China) I flat out asked Clean Garage to also help me on the 8 vs.15 and they steered me to the LHR 15 over the 21 Anyway, there's really no right or wrong either way. They both have there niche.

Stoner has a Prep Wash coming out too which is their wash to help promote better bonding for their ceramic/hybrid products. Still haven't heard anything about their coating yet.

"Ceramic Prep Wash
Our Ceramic Prep Wash is the perfect automotive paint surface prep for ceramic application. It effectively strips off remaining sealants, waxes, or glazes, providing a residue-free surface to which ceramic coating can properly bond.

Facilitates the bond between your paint and ceramic - highly concentrated cleaning agents clean surfaces to ensure a strong bond and proper adhesion.
Safe with all finishes - pH-balanced and formulated to be gentle on all automotive surfaces
Contains no silicones or waxes - provides a thorough clean, leaving no residue.
Easy to use - straightforward four-step application: add half a bottle to a gallon of water, wash the vehicle, rinse completely with water, and dry with a detailing towel or chamois."

On back order :(
Chelsa with attn to details on you tube had a nice interview with stoners and employees :)

That little thing sure is quiet.

I don't get it, it doesn't have a trigger lock..

I hope they come out with a 15mm soon. I might buy it. Not if it doesn't have a trigger lock however.

I made up my mind i'm getting a cordless.

Release
Sometimes the pursuit of practicality and efficiency leads you to completely new discoveries. We’re happy to introduce CARPRO Release – our first wax-based nano-sealant dedicated to the protection of fresh ceramic coatings during their drying period. Release is designed primarily for busy detailing studios and impatient detailers, who want to avoid the pains of ceramic coating drying times. Every coating requires a period of time, when water contact, bugs, and bird bombs have to be avoided. CARPRO Release mitigates that by protecting the coating, allowing freshly coated cars to fully dry without the wait. Release couldn’t be any simpler to apply, and it can also be used as a standalone quick detailer!

*Sigh* I'm getting too old (nearly 40  ), but gotta say the name is kinda ridiculous - Ultimate Insane! . Maybe it's just over exposure from working next to a 22 year old that uses the word for about everything he sees (it was insaaaaaaane.)...

Theoretically, an 8mm DA will finish out better than a longer stroke machine, assuming everything else, i.e., pads, polish, paint, remains the same. The same is true for DA sanders. Longer strokes = faster cut. Shorter strokes = a more refined and precise finish.

I don't really have the experience to validate that theory, as I have never used a long throw DA for polishing, but my logic suggests that to be true.

Similarly, forced rotation/orbit DAs may be faster than free-spinning DAs, especially when you need to use the pads edge, but based on my experience using a Rupes Millie (forced) and a Meguiar's MT300 (free spinning 8mm) on black vehicles, the MT300 finishes out better. Again, this is using the same pad and polish. Experimenting with different pads and polishes may close the gap somewhat, but if you are looking for the absolute best finish, I give the edge to the 8mm free-spinning DA.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. -Albert Einstein

So that means this is a product you can use over and over and expect different results. Can't wait...
