...we came across this random classic car, a 55' Nomad! Not really a fan of the rims, maybe it's an older build but it looks kinda like a DUB CITY toy car

That said the paint color and condition were flawless, it's a recent build because the calipers and rotors looked brand new.

IMO the 55' Nomad is the best lookin' Nomad, those little tailights are killer

Agreed....55 Nomad was the best looking of any model 5-6-7 Chevy. Not a big fan of the wheels either....or the stance for that matter....although I'm sure it's on air. That being said, I'd love to see the interior and under the hood. From the outside, it looks like a nice clean build.

Badass restomod! I dig everything about it except the wheels. I wonder whats under the hood?

I'm glad other people share my dislike of these rims and I know rims are TOTALLY subjective but IMO...T H E S E would push this Nomad over the top!

I'd do something like an 18 x 10 in the rear and 18 x 8 in the front. IMO If you've absolutely gotta do 2 different diameters, it should be 1" difference, i.e. 18R/17F or 19R/18F, looks more natrual and tastefully.

Sorry to be so opinionated but wheels MAKE or BREAK a cars looks, not just style but size as well

Decades ago we were riding the bagger out west to the Grand Canyon, loosely following old Route 66, and had to make an unscheduled stop in OKC (heat shield fell off an exhaust pipe). Turned out there was a national Nomad convention going on. The parking lot of the motel we ended up in was nothing but Nomads - and folks had arranged them so they were all side-by-each with same year/color/options. I don't think my wife had ever seen a Nomad before - it was quite a collection of some very nice cars in excellent condition.

I agree that those wheels look out of place, to me, but the owner looks to be going for a different vibe than just vintage resto IMO.

I don’t mind the style but looked like 24”/22”. Did you look to see diameter?

I’d go 20’s or 19’s all around. Agreed with all your statements Klasse. Style/size makes all the difference.

And as you said, subjective. A lot of people love that look. A little large for my tastes.

I am sorry I did not look at the diameter but I do not think they were twenty four inch though

That's beautiful! I'm a huge fan of custom made billet wheels on hot rods. Looks like a set of Intro Wheels.

Damn that’s nice! The wheels aren’t too bad. I’d probably change them though. Intro wheels makes a polished wheel similar to what you posted. Either would look great.
