what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

That's the first time, even though it's an old video, I've seen Sandro actually show his face. Not that he needs to, but he's always just been hands and a voice behind Car Craft Auto detailing.

I finally put my mild dislike of Ivan Lacroix and Nick Whatever on hold and watched a few of the DIY Detailing Supplies videos and as always Ivan has his "my way or the highway" methods and beliefs

I am not saying his methods aren't valid or produce results but he can be polarizing

Nick? I am not sure if his pet monkey act is natural or scripted but it's still the reason I could never take his videos seriously when he was flying solo

I know there is a lot of love these days for DIY products so I am trying to have an open mind

I think if you were forced to choose one detailer and detailing channel to learn from, you couldn't go wrong choosing Sandro

He is humble and unassuming but has massive detailing chops in my opinion

i know he loves his shinemate polishers (he's been using them for a long time), and they are good quality despite what some may say (IMO, not a knock-off company at all). if i were two buy a few polishers right now, i would get the ex605 (been wanting one of these for a while) and ex603 (both short body design with less fatigue). both 12mm orbit in 3" and 5" format. add the eb210 later at some point as well...

To add some insight to both posts, that particular video was made and published for the Waxit channel and not Sandro's personal Car Craft channel.

While I don't know the exact details, but Waxit and Sandro have been partnered for many years now. Sandro also teaches the training classes run out of the Waxit warehouse in Melbourne.

Waxit is a key detailing retailer in Australia, they are the Australian Carpro distributor, same for Kwazar and Shine Supply, and the Shine Mate range is Waxit house brand. So, this explains why you see Sandro using mostly ShineMate, Carpro and Kwazar products.

However, none of that alters the fact Sandro is a class act, be that his video making skills, detailing prowess or the way he conducts himself both in front of and behind the camera. That's something a LOT of Youtubers could learn from.

I haven't tried ANY of their products yet, and honestly I am not sure that I will

I said I wanted to try and keep my arsenal much simpler this time around and I have already blown that but I am trying to rein it in and use stuff up before I get more stuff and not keep chasing the "new and improved" unicorn
