First toilet detail in my 12+ yrs on AGThis stain had existed for 10+ years…
Drained out the toilet and sprayed BDX on it…
The rest is dad-hero history!

I clean our LVP flooring and granite with ONR at WW dilution, leaves it clean and no streaking

My wife had me try one of those in Hawaii for mineral buildup

Yeah I thought the same thing when I first used it, but it does work. The build up on mine never gets as bad as OP's, I'm usually just taking off a light ring that the bleach wouldn't take off.

Luckily the water in our new house is crystal clear and not super mineralized so the toilets stay clean
When we lived in the bush the toilets looked like someone forgot to flush them because the water was so heavily infused with iron

I know at some point you mentioned you get water from the development--where does it come from? Is there a water treatment plant just for the development?

There is a large well just for the development and it has its own treatment system
Well water in a lot of Alaska is amazing although your chances of getting hard water are pretty good
We got lucky here
They started working yesterday morning on prepping the lot next door for a foundation
I was talking to the backhoe guy and he told me our water line and main shutoff out in the yard are buried 11 feet deep so they don’t freeze

Many thanks to Eric 7810 for coming up with this solution.
I've had success removing iron stains with Soft Scrub and a stiff brush on my fiberglass tub, but I haven't been successful with that solution for the toilet. Interestingly enough, neither BDX nor CarPro IronX were successful in removing my deeply etched toilet stains. That was disappointing given Eric's solution.
However, I was able to come up with my own concoction of steps which solved my problem:
1. Spray IronX and dwell for 3+ minutes.
2. Pour vinegar into a small bowl and soak my scrub brush in it.
3. Generously add Soft Scrub to the vinegar-soaked brush.
4. Go to work scrubbing the stains.
5. Rinse.
It took some elbow grease (but not as much as feared) and a repeat of steps 1-4 to remove all of the stains, but I quickly noted stain removal at the onset of the first scrubbing. I completed the process on two toilets in 30 minutes while my wife was out shopping. She was impressed as we had five years of accumulated stain.
There's another side benefit to adding vinegar to the process...it neutralizes the strong smell of the IronX and there was no lingering odor after 30 minutes.
