Let's set the table about this:
-Coating was applied 9 days ago.
-A single RW (Hero) was performed 3 days after initial application.
-First contact wash performed after 9 days...I MADE IT
I'm back from my annual Dragon Run (seperate thread coming on that) and it was time to clean up after 1,900+ miles of driving from Wed thru Sunday (it sat all day Sat too!)
It actually rained a little bit overnight and it was about 45 degrees this morning when I got started, LET'S DO THIS
I actually started with Adam's Bug Remover on the grill area while I mixed up some products but started with the tires and wheels...they were hammered, let's see how the 3x's ADS Ghost and Gyeon Q2 Wet Coat did
I started by treating the wheels with Nv Purge, finished off the bottle. Next up was Brake Buster on the entire wheel area, as usual and Griot's Garage 3 in 1 Tire-Wheel-Mat cleaner for the tires...will they win the battle? All brushed and specialty mits used here and I'm proud to report my go-to's won
I also used Nv Purge and my tire & wheel barrel brush to clean the exhaust tips, they were BRUTAL!
Next was the pre-wash and feeling confident I reached for my IK Foam Pro 12 filled with a gallon of distilled water and 5 oz of Bilt-Hamber Touchless. I was able to go around the EN twice and took full advantage of the cool temps to let it dwell longer than usual. No surprise upon rinse off...beading was INSANE and I truely couldn't see any dirty...anywhere
Although I didn't see any dirt a 2BM was up next. I ended finishing my bottle of ADS Shampoo, 3 oz into 3.5 gallons of HOT water, sud'd up incredibly and got after it
While washing the EN my wash mit GLID over the paint, I mean unreal slickness and I'm sure the self cleaning ability of ADS Quartz is on another level...NO DOUBT ABOUT IT
The rinsing after the 2BM still produced crazy beading, something I wasn't quite getting before! The free flowing water to knock down the beads had the water sheeting off and drying was the easiest I've ever experienced, you have to see it to believe it
️
️
The final step was applying Gyeon Q2 Wet Coat on the grill, lower black trim and rear, lower bumper area, also the exhaust tips, inside & out...extra protection
CONCLUSION
------------
We're off to a great start after this true TORTURE TEST, can't be more real world than what I put the EN and a freshly applied and properly cure coating from a legit upstart that's out here kicking A$$! I'm looking forward to their future and new products, like a spray on, hose off product for instance and can't wait to try ADS Decon soap when I need it come winter and I do my monthly, indoor intense hand carwash each month of winter
The following pics will show the tires and wheels "in the wild" and then the cleaning of the tires & wheels process, along with the carwash process and end results...thanks for looking
