Your car looks great. Thats a good looking Hyundai. We unknowingly have something very much in common. We are both end parkers when using non private parking lots.
My only suggestion is you seem to always seem to back into that end spot. I would pull in which would allow you to park closer to that wall, thereby giving a bigger cushion between your car and whomever may park in the next spot but still giving you plenty of room to open your drivers door.
Isn't it a Flippin shame one has to put that much thought into parking ones vehicle just to avoid door dings by slobs that have no respect for anyone's vehicle including their own.
People that inflict door dings should be subject to public hanging.

As far as pulling in, we'll for one I don't have front parking sensors/cameras but I do have a rear camera and parking aids. Next that parking spot next to me is my g/f's parking spot

My wife is absolutely not a car person but she has had nice vehicles also as I always picked them out for her. Even the color.
But when we were first married she had a Vette. That would be a Chevette not a Corvette. One of the biggest pieces of crap GM ever built. Her family had four of those crap buckets.

Wash time for the Qashqai today. Due to the bright sun it was done in and out of the garage. First up was the wheels, using Wheely Clean, rinsed the wheels and paint, moved it inside and used Reset for a 2B wash. Back outside to rinse it again, then back in to dry it TWHS Wet Wax, except for the glass, where I used Carpro Clarify Phobic. Finished off by dressing the tyres with Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing, yes, that is gutter rash on the tyre in the first pic, I think there's even a little bit on the rim, but I'm not saying anything.

The car has gone several hundred miles, mostly in dry snow but a couple of days were hovering around freezing point and we’re a bit messier than others

We haven’t had any really sloppy conditions yet, luckily

The Tire + is holding up nicely and still looks good in my opinion

Obviously it needs more torture testing and when I start using the touch less tunnel wash it might tell a different story but for now, given cost, ease of application, user experience, etc I think it’s a winner

It certainly out performed the CarPro Perl that was on the control tire

OK, this was an experiment suggested by @Big Dave to try and sort out what's going on with the 2 separate bottles of Griot's Perfecting Cream that I have received lately and the super thick consistency issues I have encountered

Griot's agreed that the first bottle was much too thick and sent a second bottle, which turned out to be identical, consistency wise

I still intend to bring my 4Runner into the garage and do an actual paint correction experiment utilizing all 4 bottles of Griot's BOSS creams



Dave suggested heating up a bottle of the Perfecting Cream in a pan of hot water to see if it thinned out so I put one bottle in the sink in a container and ran 130 degree water on it continuously for 30 minutes

Here is the before shot taken in the garage where the creams have been living at 60 degrees



Here is the after shot following the 30 minute soaking at 130 degrees and a violent amount of shaking



I'm not seeing a whole lot of difference

Here are all 4 products after the experiment and the other 2 bottles sitting in the kitchen at 68 degrees long enough to come to room temperature

Unheated Perfecting Cream on the left, heated Perfecting Cream next to it, next on the right is Correcting Cream, and Fast Correcting cream on the far right



FCC is a smooth consistency that is essentially the same as any other "correcting/polishing" liquid in my arsenal

CC is smooth and a consistent texture throughtout, but noticeably thicker

PC is still way thicker than the others and can't get past that cottage cheese consistency

At 60 degrees and even after the hot water bath, it is far more difficult to dispense than the other 2 products

To me this is counterintuitive; my thinking would be that a polish with a "lower abrasive load" (Griot's words) would be, and almost always is, creamier and possibly thinner than a harsher product

I realize this proves nothing and again, I will test them in real world conditions, but I wanted to respond to @Big Dave s suggestion

The first bottle came from Amazon and I don't know if it came from an Amazon stock of Griot's products or if they simply facilitate the sale and Griot's drop ships it

The second bottle came direct from Griot's and was shipped almost 2 months after the first one purchased from Amazon, and what I believe are "batch numbers" stamped on the bottom are significantly different

I am torn about complaining yet again to Griot's because I don't want them to think I am just whining to get some free product, and calling it a day, trying them and if usable, use them and then either move on or not

I would assume they would want to know but....

Two words for you . . . Sous Vide. If it still doesn't thin it out it will make for a terrific dessert topping and yet another great photo set.

So I find this rather weird

The Reviews page for the Perfecting Cream has 1 review from a month ago, 1 review from a year ago, 1 review from 2 years ago, and the rest are 3 years old or older

It has an almost 5 star rating but the lack of more recent reviews just seems odd

I am pretty sure I already said this but I initially bought the FCC and PC because @Sizzle Chest uses them, a LOT, and has excellent results with them

It's hard to argue with his polishing results, and mere mortals like me need all the help they can get

Now *tomorrow* I have to go with my wife for some tests and it's supposed to be kind of a sh--show so snagging a cab to get there should be fun, probably break down and call a damn Uber despite my disdain for Uber/Lyft.

I haven't used the FCC yet. I would have used that on the hood of my gf's car, which had some scratches that CC didn't take out. The CC improved them quite a bit and I initially thought they were bad enough that they couldn't be fully removed. Since she decided to trade her car in with no notice, I never got the chance to try the FCC. From what I hear, it finishes out well.
