Had to work yesterday. So, on the way home finally checked out one! WOW. What is not to like? Would have liked to see more options. NO heated steering wheel, ventilated seats or BOSE or under body cameras. But at the end of the day, it is still a BISON.

Do you know how insane that would have sounded 40 years ago?? "Yeah, I had to pass on that pickup truck, no heated steering wheel..."

How much is it?

Up here a Bison will be $80, throw in all options and it grows from there. Oh, and add 13% sales tax for the thieves.
Of coarse US sales will be cheaper down there.

I was watching TFL Truck yesterday, they were talking about Ford Australia developing a Ranger Super Duty, with extra cargo capacity and towing capacity (4500kg), and were saying it probably wouldn't make it over there, it would steal sales from the F-150. They were also saying that you can't get a Ranger Tremor over there, and here I was thinking we just copied you guys.PSX_20241125_100506.jpg

New Trucks are ridiculously overpriced right now..

They are big money makers for the manufacturers. I have owned nine trucks since the 70s, five of the nine were bought new from the dealer. In my opinion they have ruined the pickup. They have become a luxury vehicle and the emphasis is on interior comfort instead of hauling which is the purpose of a pickup truck. The cabs are super luxurious and are larger than the bed which is backwards IMO.
People buy them for commuting vehicles which is crazy. Every 2nd or 3rd household where I live owns a pickup and they are seldom used for hauling anything. I guess it's hard to look cool driving a minivan so they buy a pickup instead.
Yes the price of new pickups is crazy.

Same here, lots of Rangers, Hilux, Amaroks, D-Max, Tritons, and Navarras around my neighbourhood, most never see dirt, or a load in the back. I think they get sold on the basis of the lifestyle people want, not necessarily the life they actually have. And a lot seem to have trouble parking them.

I love the look of the Bison, and I think it would do very well here, but personally I wouldn't get it in black, but then I wouldn't get anything in black. The modifications look substantial, and from the videos I've seen they make it genuinely more capable. So many utes just end up with styling packs, just making them look more fancy, and in some cases reducing their practicality. But we don't get any version of the Colorado anymore.
