Drying Aids 2024 – 2025

Great post. My "go to's" at the moment are:

Adams Slick and Slide (I bought a gallon when Adams had a big sale and threw in a free 16 oz bottle). It's so much cheaper than the OG drying Aid and the scent is decent
TEC 582
Bead it Up (I agree with others comments. You do have to work for it but I might try cutting with distilled water)

I'm cutting it, 1/4-1/3 distilled water.

It's a shame you guys don't get Griot's products there. Their Best of Show Detailer is a product I am sure you would love as a drying aid.
Is there a fundamental difference between the Best of Show and the Speed Shine twins?

I can get regular and ceramic Spped Shine locally but like the rest of the BOS line, none of the local Griot's sellers carry Best of Show Detailer

I have been using Ceramic Speed Shine and like it a lot

best of show is designed to flash quickly in direct sunlight, provides more color enhancement and leaves very light protection behind.

speed shine is not formulated for direct sunlight/warm panels, best used in garage/in shade. can be used as a lubricant for claying, etc but doesn't leave any protection behind. ceramic speed shine will leave protection behind.

I guess I better throw a bottle into an Amazon cart

Thanks MS

I think I'm gonna do the same before Spring. I've gotten so many bottles of the speed shines that I never picked one up.
One of these days I am going to pour about 2 oz of all the toppers/drying aids/waxes I have together and see what happens

It will probably look and smell like college dorm trashcan punch but will be interesting to see what it does on paint

:ROFLMAO:

I'll keep an eye out for the mushroom cloud.

Maybe I better hold off, with things around the globe as they are now I don't want starting World War III on my conscience
. . . but in a million+ years when aliens land here they'll say "I wonder what happened here?" and another will say "I have no idea but would you LOOK at how that surface beads up!"

One of the few gems I’ve found from chemical guys was After wash. The had wheel woolies uber cheap ($27 a set after all discounts) ordered 2 and $75 for free shipping.

After Wash was added to get me there. Nice towel feel, streak free and repelled water good. Would I buy again? Yes if I was ordering from Chem guys again.

My absolute favorite due to viscosity and how it makes a PFM glide like butter while drying is Hydrate. Kinda weird at first because it is so thick but applying a spray on panel and a spray on towel is how I like it.

Haven’t tried new pro version and I don’t know what makes it pro but was on sale buy one get one so snapped it up.

I think I bought Hydrate on your recommendation, back before AMMO Australia was set up. I just couldn't get past the consistency, I really need to give it another try at some point. The newer Pro versions is thicker again, to the point where a typical spray head struggles to discharge it. That's not to say either version are bad products, just very different to anything else on the market, so I wasn't prepared for that.

I haven’t had anything yet give me same towel feel. But yes consistency threw me off too at first.

One spray on a twisted loop (gauntlet should be good and one spray on panel. Pull trigger fast and use fast arm motion while crossing panel. Maybe 2 sprays to start.

I'm going to have to try it again, maybe tomorrow.
