Cordless Polishers 2025

Sounds like you had a good experience with Flex… focus on that… Never questioned what “other professionals”. Just said start a new thread.

Try reading slower…. Pronounce all the syllables….

You have real good info you post on this thread….

As for your silly lil personal attacks you post on the internet…. Impressive my guy.

Sorry you are butt hurt

I started this thread to talk about user experiences with there polishers. Useful community here to have there own content for the internet

Not to post info you find on the internet to bash Rupes. Seems like you have a problem with their products and blasting ones you’ve never tried.

Have you actually owned any Rupes? I personally didn’t till recently because I thought the were overpriced and could find similar till less. Trying them changed my mind. But one thing I tried not to do is bash something I’ve never

You are posting experiences of maybe 20-30 people who have bad experiences and although valid a small sample size of a new product. The sold thousands if not more. A lot of people posting they love them… great machines. Reason I dipped my toe ‘s were some of the great reviews from people who actually used Rupes…. On this forum.

Then you post old stuff about a trigger… that Rupes fixed. Why bring it up?

If you want to post opinions of what others think from other reaches on the internet (good idea) to let masses know of problems you should start another forum to “warn” them?

If wanting to “warn” the community maybe a thread stating what you’ve read about what’s going on in the title instead of burying it in here.

You’d be more help that way….

Anyone who views this thread would be wise to view the thread below before spending your hard earned money

Your welcome 😉

Not a cordless polisher question but a polisher question all the same. I have a PC 7424 and don't even think it's the XP. Yes I've had it 15-20 years. I only detail my own vehicles with it and probably only polish each vehicle once per year.

What I have noticed is while it produces a good shine it has difficulty removing swirl marks. I am using Megs 105 and an orange pad and am also using the correct technique. But afterwards even using 205 after the 105 the swirl marks remain.

So I am considering getting the Hercules ( Harbor Freight) polisher. I am not going to buy a $300.00-$400.00 dollar polisher for the limited use I have for a polisher. Also the corded is fine for me. Will the Hercules make the difference in my ability Tobe swirl free.

Yes it can help. You can get more correction from a gear driven da, by being able to use down pressure and being able to maintain constain da rotation

Keep what you have for finishing and get a rotary for the compounding

OR

Purchase a good glaze and call it a day

For the price the hercules is well worth it. I have one and love it. I bought a smaller backing plate for it from the clean garage so I was able to use the 5.5" pads that I already had.

This is the backing plate:

It’s very aggressive but won’t stall. Forced rotation is a little more taxing on the body. It will definitely remove swirls.

For a little more if you like free spinning the griots g9 is a great polisher for $169. Lot of great features and you can find on sale for $140-150

Actually after tossing it around for a while i am considering trying a microfiber polishing pad on the 7424.
Hopefully that would be aggressive enough to remove swirls.

My second polisher was a PC 7424, it replaced a Waxmaster! In 2008ish Flex introduced the XC3401 "Beast". I was tired of the stalling from the PC and I wanted forced rotation. For what you say I'd say go for the Hercules forced rotation.

I'm the same if we met. What you read is what you'll get in person

I could have sworn that you asked the other guy (and possibly me) to "start your own thread". I also sensed a bit of anger that someone would chime in on "your thread" with different experiences 🤔
Glad your butt no longer hurts 💕

Nah you’re just an angry human so when you read things you read how you type. No anger. And I did suggest starting a thread to hobbit but your anger took it to mean you thus making you more angry.

Like you like the comments a couple days ago so you read it then but then come back to reply…. Days later.

“Same in real life?” Maybe, I don’t know you but anyone I consider tough doesn’t act like you on the internet.. but you do you.

Comments weren’t even directed at you and you still were angry enough (on words on the internet) to make your comment then make a thread to link a post.

I’m gonna give you a few hours to say what ever gaslighting thing you need to say and then block you. Our interactions aren’t benefiting anyone and I have no use for your posts as you do not have of mine.

80% of them are about Mike Phillips about something that happened in the 70’s.

You said you’re better than him in every way in another thread but I bet he’s not thinking of you or mentioning you.

Hope you find a way to let your anger go and truly hope you have a great Christmas

I've read this twice and I'm still having a hard time figuring out exactly what you are saying 🤔
You must've been very angry when you wrote this 🤔

If you block me how are you ever going to learn anything 🤔
If your hero Mike Phillips the self proclaimed "Master Detailer" is so grest at what he does why isn't he still here 🤔
Meguiars 🤔
3D 🤔
McKees 🤔
Or better yet, doing his own thing 🤔

I suspect the place that he is now is just riding his contract out.
Maybe he will be working at turtle wax next. He could dress up like a turtle and be their mascot 🐢

Its been fun having this discussion with you
I've always enjoyed good banter back-n- forth.
What a boring forum (and world) it would be if everyone thought like Mike Phillips.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas 🎅 and a happy new year 🎉 you will be missed sweetie 😘

Please do not bash any vendors or forum members. Rupes, Flex, and Griot's Garage all offer a factory warranty for their machine polishers. If a customer has any issues, please contact the manufacturer and they will repair the polisher under warranty. They also offer service centers for when the polisher is outside of their factory warranty.
