What did you do today non-detailing related?

I knew Hispanics would save us from ourselves.
I get along better with them than I do most natural born Americans
Same goes with Phillipinos and other nationalities that I have developed relationships with
If this country doesn't shape up, I'm shipping out
The European customers on my route are Trump and can't believe what's allowed here, almost buyers remorse but not really.

Nobody wants their daughter going to the restroom with a fat man in a dress
When I saw the democrats (I used to be one) start demanding that we accept that, I knew their goose was cooked

I can't believe what they're trying to allow in sport, just because you "indentify" as something, doesn't mean you get compete against someone who 'is" that, and always has been. You should only compete against others who "identify" the same as you.

It's simply not fair to the young ladies that have dedicated their lives to the sport that they love

Trying to help a neighbor. She didn't even have the common decency to apologize or ask if I was OK
I gotta get out of this shithole city

I spent the last hour unjamming the ice dispenser on the fridge. Hottest day of the year so far and it decides to jam. But first I had to figure out how to do it without breaking anything, or losing a finger. A metal straw pushed up the hole in the 10 seconds after the motor stops and before the flap closes. This was what fell out.

And yes, I do realise the year is only 5 days old.

Um...my experience is limited to only one refrigerator that has an automatic ice maker/dispenser, but it has a bin that you get to from the inside, where the magic happens (dispensing), and you take that out and break up the glaciers in there...no fear of losing a finger or a time trial.

You've had to do that more than once??
Unfortunately yes. I'm at ~135k miles on it, but still shouldn't have to replace 2x in that mileage. Definitely a weak point.
The rear rubber bushings (top in the picture I posted) wear out and start to let the control arm move around excessively. I could easily bend/twist the mount when I took the old one off.

Results in loose front end, clunk and in this case, shake when braking at highway speeds.

You can buy just the rear bushing, but then you have old front bushing and ball joint. Plus, it's a pain to R&R the bushing on the control arm unless you take the arm off.....which may result in the stuck nut on the ball joint, then you are really SOL. Extra $60 for full control arm is worth it.

Enjoy L.A. Vikings....

GO LIONS

After the first few drives by the Vikings, I knew they were not going to win.
Was a close first half by the score, but Lions had the upper hand.
Lions defense owned them and Darnold could not hit his open receivers.

I have a feeling (more like hope) we'll see the same matchup in 2nd round.

Memphis. It really isn't that bad, so long as you don't drift into the wrong neighborhood

German Shepherd is what bit me. He has a 2,500 bond and a mandatory 10 day hold
A part of me wants to bail him out and try and work with him

Buy a Honda next time 😁

Got rained out yesterday, so it was back on the tools today. Despite it being warm over the last two weeks, the lawns I cut today were relatively tame. With the long soaking rain yesterday, I doubt that will be the case at the next visit in two weeks.

On the last lawn of the day, instead of the usual 3 - 4-inch-high Kikuyu, I was dealing with a metric sh.t tonne of leaves shed from two dirty gum trees on the nature strip. Once blown onto the grass, which is difficult because the flatness of these leaves makes them resistant to blower, in some places all you could see was leaves and not grass. I filled a 240-litre green waste bin 3/4 full with leaves.

I'm not great at identifying gums, probably because I have little to no interest in them, but I think these two offenders are Eucalyptus leucoxylon. Not only do they constantly shed foliage, but they shed bark as well. I have always hated just about all Corymbia/Eucalyptus trees. The are a select few that I actually like, including eucalyptus caesia Silver Princess for its draping white stems and red flowers caps, Eucalyptus scoparia Willow Gum for its white trunk and dappled canopy, and Corymbia citriodora Lemon Scent Gum for that delightful aroma, especially after rain. The rest do nothing for me, they are ultra messy and prevent other plants from growing underneath.

In the nursery, when asked if a customer wanted an evergreen or deciduous tree, 9 times out of 10 they would say evergreen, and almost always it that response came from males. My response was always along the lines of a deciduous tree sheds only once a year, an evergreen tree will shed all-year-round. Anyone with a Magnolia grandiflora relative (Little Gem, Kay Parris ect) will know what I mean.

Wow, that brought back a memory. At the warehouse in Macquarie Park we were forever blowing gum leaves out of the warehouse, and I can vouch for the fact that those little fokkers are resistant to blowers, even on smooth concrete floors, you'd be walking closer and closer and they'd sit their and vibrate till you nudge them with the end of the blower.

Dealing with the extra leaves today added an extra 15-20min to the job, mainly because they lay flat and wont move. I think I'm going to take the BR-600 Magnum next time (I love the word Magnum!)..........................

BR 600 Magnum - 64.8cc / 3.8 bhp / 238 mph

BG86 - 27.2cc / 1.07 bhp / 190 mph

If that doesn't work, I have another Magnum in mind............................................. ;)

A finger up my butthole would surely slow me down
I may have to try that if I don't have my new stick close by
