What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I have and have used Gyeon Q2 Wax, not too long after it came out and I had a great experience with it, goes on easy and smells CLEAN, best way to describe it. I know it coating friendly and IIRC you apply it to the entire car and THEN remove, zero dusting, you'll love it on the GS

Awesome! Can't wait to use it now! Maybe I'll put it on the truck so I can use it sooner lol

I heard of firefly a while ago on tiktok of all things. Apparently the dude makes it himself.
I heard about it on Facebook and it looked interesting. It is relatively cheap so I decided to try it and wasn't disappointed. Let's see how long it lasts.

I bought the tire shine too. It is good. A little watery but gives the tires good gloss with no sling.

Absolute rinseless followed by clay using Dodo Juice clay lube I had laying around followed by spraying it down with a rinse off of griots rinseless followed by absolute rinseless. Finished with Griots 3in1 ceramic sealant on the front roof panels.

I still have some Dodo Juice Born Slippy concentrate from many years ago, it's still good, but I don't have to clay much.

A Bloke in my neighbourhood drives a red N line with the exhaust in pop and crackle mode....Can get a little annoying sometimes.

He probably does this on purpose as i told him to slow it down a bit!

They're testing 3 noise detection cameras in Sydney at the moment, since December they've detected over 1000 incidents, and 434 were caused by 180 vehicles, once they go active fines will range from $150 - $1200.

QD for the FJ today, used NV Boost V2, to top the Jet that's already on there. Cleaned the glass with Angelwax Vision, used TW Ultimate detailing cloths, they were very grabby, very annoying. I was doing a tidy up in the back and found a no name glass mitt I bought somewhere, it was so much better, I'll try not to hide it again.

I like this shot, perspective makes the wheel tyre-combo look much bigger. I didn't touch the wheels or tyres, but the Carpro Perl is holding up alright.

I took the day off to spend it cleaning my baby. I used a new wax called Firefly and it is great! Next month I plan on using Gyeon Wax. Anyone use Gyeon Wax before? Any pointers? View attachment 138077View attachment 138078View attachment 138079View attachment 138080View attachment 138081

That blue!! :D

Gyeon Q2 Wax is super easy to apply, can be applied by hand or machine.

I like to apply with the machine as it gets you consistent coverage, although you will need the supplied hand applicator for intricate areas. A little goes a long way, just a couple of swipes onto your pad/applicator will be enough per panel. You also need to allow it to cure for at least 30 minutes before wiping off, I found by the time you have applied it to the whole vehicle, packed up your machine ect, its time to wipe. This will be one of the easiest wipe-off's you will experience from a wax too.

Look forward to seeing the results.

Yeah I've seen them on the news, I think if you have a active exhaust there is a time and place for them but if I see someone doing 85 in a 60 zone I did say something.

But too be honest I try at least lately not to say or give people a look because that's what they want the attention.....🤐

Thank you for the tips!!! I'll definitely machine apply it!

Great day for a wash. So i washed the Tacoma with Duragloss 932. Paint, glass, wheels and tires with the rinseless. Drying aid was Tec 582.
Guess i could have washed quicker but i elected to do the two bucket method. Don't tell Yvan!!!

A quick fluid level check on the Qashqai led to a quick clean up of the engine bay. I gave it a quick wipe with an old MF dampened with Boss Gloss to remove the dust, and some tweezers to remove the small leaves stuck around the wiper arm spindles.

A different process and a whole lot more effort will be required when I get around to doing the FJ.

One of the guys on Mustang 7g who had just picked up his brand-new Mustang GT got a letter from the EPA demanding he present the vehicle for testing.......................at his own time and expense. This vehicle was completely stock, no exhaust modifications. From memory, he was driving it with the exhaust in sport mode, which is supposed to be street legal. He got off the charge, but still had to pay for the testing.

That sucks for him to prove all the legal stuff has passed ADR my brother has Raptor with the sports Baja? mode it sounds good.

But when it's over the top loud as in LOUD it shits me.

I think a V8 sounds better than a 4 cylinder in active mode 🤔

It just goes to show, it is a legal exhaust, but there could be variables at that time that cause a spike in sound high enough to trigger an "event". So I'm guessing Track mode is not street legal, but if you get a a letter from the EPA, how do you prove it wasn't in Track mode at the time, as I don't think they would just take your word for it.

When either Track or Drag mode is engaged, a "Track Use Only" warning is displayed on the gauge cluster for the whole time that mode is active. It will also come up if you have selected Track exhaust outside of the drive mode selection (for example, Normal drive mode with Track exhaust), or have the Track exhaust as part of a Custom drive mode. Ford are providing themselves an out by including that disclaimer, so it's on the driver for using those modes on public roads.

I can see why authorities want to curb noise emissions, I get it, not everyone wants to hear my car. But................................why does this not apply to the Harley crowd, those things are waaaaay noisier than a V8 Mustang, and yet that seems to be ignored. Does my head in.

Oh, and that's a good song too.
